Do you know your sport, but are comfortable leaning into the celebrity aspect of the business ? Famous partners, husbands / wives, weddings, celebrity fans, etc ?

It's an aspect of sports journalism that is becoming increasingly popular with readers, but it takes someone with an eye for the story to make it work.
