Your New Role...The Audio Description Writer is responsible for authoring high‑quality English Audio Description (AD) scripts across a variety of content types, including scripted episodic television, unscripted and factual programming, feature‑length content, and ad hoc accessibility projects. This role focuses on producing clear, accurate, and well‑timed descriptions that enable audiences who are blind or partially sighted people to fully understand visual storytelling elements.
The Audio Description Writer works within established Audio Description guidelines and workflows and collaborates closely with editors and senior writers to deliver production‑ready accessibility assets. While theatrical Audio Description experience is not required, the Audio Description Writer may contribute to initial or first‑pass AD drafts on feature‑length or higher‑complexity titles as part of professional development, under editorial guidance.
