Keeping this in my network for now before I traipse out onto the public internet.

Looking for someone to scale whatโ€™s been built to date (350,000 followers across platforms) into a more significant brand & media platform. We'll work directly together to shape the future of where this goes.

-Part executional: expanding current content across more channels/formats, establishing systems, sourcing visuals
-Part strategic/creative: spotting whatโ€™s working and pitching extensions, experimenting with formats, bringing lateral inspiration

Ideally a creative all-rounder with 2-5 years in social media mgmt/content strategy who can design/edit/think.

But above all, someone with a great eye/taste who can distill concepts into a distinct and coherent visual language.

Freelance, 16 hours a week to start, remote, w/ room to grow as business does. Potentially incl. equity if we click long term.

Role: Social Media & Brand Manager

About me, and the role

Iโ€™m Eugene, a brand strategy consultant, educator, and creator. In my first year Iโ€™ve built a following of around 350,000 cross-platform sharing cultural insights through the lens of brand. 

Iโ€™m looking for a gun who can take what Iโ€™ve built to date to the next level, and scale the 2x videos I currently post a week into a much bigger brand and media platform. 

This is your chance to shape the future of something big. Weโ€™ll work directly together and Iโ€™m open to your ideas and perspective on how we can grow this together. 

What your day-to-day might look like:

Executional

  • Own the posting calendar, publishing content across IG, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, YT Shorts and anywhere else you think is appropriate
  • Extend existing content into more formats: carousels, threads, Substack posts  
  • Source visuals for green screen backdrops/carousels
  • Build templates and systems that help us move faster
  • Support in editing videos

Strategic/Creative

  • Spot whatโ€™s working and pitch extensions
  • Experiment to find what works on each platform (eg testing multiple hooks/accounts)
  • Cultural attunement - looking out for things happening online/offline that are worth discussing
  • Bringing lateral inspiration from other creators to suggest novel areas the brand platform could expand into
  • Tracking meaningful metrics to see where we might need to optimise things

Who Iโ€™m looking for:

  • Someone with around 2-5 years experience in social media management or content strategy
  • Above all, someone with a great eye/taste who can distil concepts into a distinct and coherent visual language
  • A creative all-rounder that can design, edit and think - familiar with the generalist design & editing platforms like Canva, CapCut, Hootsuite, Midjourney
  • If you have copywriting experience, all the better
  • Someone deeply interested in the world around them; culture, society and how it intersects with how modern brands must be built

  • Fully remote
  • Freelance, 16 hours a week, with scope to grow as the platform does
