Our little charity has grown a lot over the last nine months or so, and we're looking for someone who can really take control of our organice Facebook and Instagram accounts and make them grow too!
We're also looking into TikTok, so experience with that would be nice as well.
Email is secondary but is also a small part of this role as well.

Freelance Social Media and Content Executive – Men Who Talk

Location: Fully Remote (UK working hours)
Time Commitment: Around 14 hours (2 days) per week
Rate: £25/hour
Reports to: Marketing Lead and Chair of Trustees
About the Role
Men Who Talk is seeking a freelance Social Media and Content Executive to own and manage its organic marketing efforts. Working within the strategy set by the Marketing Lead, you will independently manage social media, the website blog, and the monthly newsletter to drive consistent, measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Organic Social Media
- Plan, create, schedule, publish, and monitor organic content across Instagram and Facebook.
- Maintain and grow existing Instagram and Facebook audiences.
- Develop and grow the charity's TikTok presence.
- Create graphics, posts, and short-form Reels using Canva from existing brand assets.
- Monitor comments and engagement to keep channels active and responsive.
- Develop and implement a social media growth plan within your first month.
Content Calendar
- Build and maintain a proactive content calendar.
- Plan content around mental health awareness campaigns, men's wellbeing events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational activities.
Website Blog
- Manage the editorial process for 1–2 blog posts per month.
- Plan topics with the Marketing Lead.
- Coordinate contributions from staff, volunteers, guest writers, and leadership.
- Edit, upload, and format posts in WordPress.
- Write blog posts where appropriate.
- Maintain a content pipeline to ensure consistent publishing.
Monthly Newsletter
- Plan and write one monthly newsletter.
- Promote support groups, fundraising, blog content, and organizational updates.
- Work with the Marketing Lead and Head of Operations.
- Experience with Mailchimp audiences, tags, and segmentation is advantageous.
Reporting
- Update monthly organic social media metrics in the shared reporting spreadsheet.
- Review performance and future plans during fortnightly check-ins.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience managing organic social media for a brand, charity, or organization.
- Experience managing Instagram and Facebook.
- Ability to create engaging Canva graphics and short-form Reels.
- Demonstrated experience growing social media audiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written English and engaging copywriting skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience coordinating content from multiple contributors.
- Experience creating and sending Mailchimp newsletters.
- Experience growing TikTok accounts.
- Basic WordPress knowledge.
- Charity or mental health sector experience.
- Interest in men's mental health.
Working Arrangement
- Fully remote.
