Now, we're looking for a Social Media & Community Manager who can help us grow Good into one of the most visible, engaged, and community-driven brands in Nigeria.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This role exists to grow Good's audience, strengthen community participation, and ensure Good becomes one of Nigeria's most engaged lifestyle and community brands.

Primary responsibilities:

This employee's duties will include, but are not limited to, the following core areas:

  • Social Media Strategy & Growth
    • Develop and own Good's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Communities, and emerging platforms.
    • Create and maintain a rolling content calendar aligned with community goals, creator campaigns, events, product launches, and brand initiatives.
    • Build platform-specific growth strategies that increase reach, engagement, audience quality, and brand awareness.
    • Develop and implement a documented social media growth strategy, platform playbook, and rolling 90-day content calendar within the first 30 days.
    • Maintain a consistent publishing cadence across all active channels.
    • Ensure all community interactions and audience communications meet Good's brand standards and response expectations.
  • Community Building & Engagement
    • Build, manage, and nurture Good's online communities across social platforms and community channels.
    • Create meaningful opportunities for audience participation through conversations, challenges, campaigns, events, memberships, and community-led initiatives.
    • Respond to comments, messages, mentions, and community interactions in a timely and thoughtful manner.
    • Achieve a minimum 25% increase in engagement rate across active platforms.
    • Grow community participation across events, memberships, activations, and community programs.
    • Increase meaningful audience interactions, including comments, shares, saves, discussions, and user-generated content.
  • Audience Development & Conversion
    • Convert audience attention into measurable community participation, event attendance, memberships, creator discovery, and product engagement.
    • Support the growth of Good House, Good Village, Good Online, and community programs through targeted audience-building initiatives.
    • Develop audience journeys that move people from awareness to participation and long-term community engagement.
    • Deliver a minimum 50% increase in audience size across active social channels within the first 90 days.
    • Improve audience quality, retention, and engagement across platforms.
    • Increase reach and discoverability for Good's creators, spaces, products, and experiences.
    • Deliver a minimum 50% increase in social-driven event registrations and participation within the first 90 days.
    • Improve conversion from audience members to attendees, members, shoppers, and community participants.
    • Support measurable growth in community engagement initiatives through social campaigns.
  • Analytics, Reporting & Performance
    • Monitor and analyze platform performance, audience behaviour, engagement trends, and content effectiveness.
    • Build and maintain reporting dashboards that track audience growth, event registrations, community participation, social conversions, and campaign performance.
    • Use insights and data to continuously improve content strategy, audience acquisition, and engagement outcomes.
    • Establish a weekly reporting dashboard within the first 60 days.
    • Maintain 100% reporting compliance with accurate tracking of audience growth, engagement, participation, and campaign outcomes.
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on performance insights and audience behaviour.
  • Brand & Community Representation
    • Serve as one of the primary digital voices of Good across social platforms and community spaces.
    • Collaborate closely with Storytelling, Content, Community, Partnerships, and Growth teams to ensure a unified brand experience.
    • Ensure Good's social presence consistently reflects the warmth, creativity, optimism, and intentionality of the brand.
  • This employee shall perform other related duties as assigned

PROBATIONARY EXPECTATIONS

This role is subject to a 3-month probationary period.

During this period, the Social Media and Community Manager will be expected to:

  • Develop and implement a documented social growth strategy, platform playbook, and rolling content calendar covering all active Good channels.
  • Deliver at least a 50% increase in audience size, engagement rate, and social-driven event registrations.
  • Establish a reliable reporting system that accurately tracks audience growth, community participation, event attendance, and content performance.
  • Strengthen Good's position as a leading community, lifestyle, and creator-focused brand through consistent audience engagement and participation.

This employee shall perform other related duties as assigned.

THE TYPE OF PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’re someone with:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, community building, audience development, growth marketing, or digital communications.
  • Salary expectation of ₦300,000 – ₦500,000
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, content performance, audience acquisition, and platform analytics.
  • Experience managing online communities and building meaningful engagement across digital channels.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to adapt tone across different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking and comfort using performance data to drive decisions.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to connect social activity to business outcomes.
  • High ownership, initiative, responsiveness, and startup adaptability.
  • Someone who understands both people and platforms.
