About the role

We’re looking to add an extra hand to my team to manage our socials and community on a 3-month contract, starting November 1st.

At The Write Right Academy, we are building a set of high-quality writers who are well-trained to compete with writers around the world.

As our community and social media manager, you’ll be the voice of the brand online. These are big shoes, and we only want someone who is in love with the brand to fit them. Think you can wear these shoes well?

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy that builds awareness, drives registrations, and maintains engagement during the academy.
  • Create, schedule, and post content across Instagram, LinkedIn and Tiktok.
  • Engage with followers and respond to comments/DMs.
  • Manage the Slack learner community: welcome new learners, spark discussions, respond to questions, and ensure a warm, supportive environment.
  • Initiate community activities outside of the classes.
  • Share class reminders, updates, and links.
  • Prepare and circulate feedback forms after each class, and analyze responses.
  • Track and report on social media metrics and community health, with recommendations for improvement.

  • have experience with social media management and community engagement.
  • love seeing communities thrive (and know it doesn’t happen by accident).
  • are creative and able to drive conversations
  • are proactive, and allergic to “waiting for instructions.”
  • are able to multitask and work independently.
  • have empathy and a people-first mindset (the kind that shows in how you write and respond.)
  • can manage slack effectively
  • have basic design or video editing skills.
