Social + Content Marketing Manager Job Description
Role: Social & Content Marketing Manager
Reports to: Director of Brand Marketing Background:
DedCool is a genderless fragrance house on a mission to build a new olfactive system. Anchored by approachable fine fragrances, we play with scent to give it new forms: we reimagine functional fragrance. We offer a selection of fragrances and lifestyle products (think lip balms, air fresheners, and the like) that don’t just smell great but keep the planet in mind too. From sourcing to formulation to packaging to end use, each product is conceived with the highest quality and sustainable ingredients composed of innovative formulations to mitigate water use, while providing the customer with a product that lasts. DedCool cultivates a feel-good feeling with every spritz (or load of laundry…oh yea, we make laundry detergent, too).
About the Team & Role:
DedCool is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is a self-starter, has excellent writing and organization skills, strong people skills, and has a passion for growing communities.
This person will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the DedCool Social, In-House Content Creation, and Community tactics. They will be responsible for building social calendars, getting approval on completely prepped social posts, push posts live on time, community manage, gather social analytics, create weekly/monthly reports for social performance data, join all pertinent meetings and be a strategic and tactical partner to the rest of the DedCool team on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
● Social:
○ Innovate and execute a distinct social channel strategy that sets us apart through thoughtful content to elevate brand visibility, engagement, and conversion
○ Collaborate with broader marketing team + channel leads to ensure cohesive brand identity and tone of voice across social channels and content strategy
○ Define clear goals and metrics for each social channel and adapt strategies accordingly to maximize impact and ROI
○ Oversee + plan out monthly content calendar across social channels in line with broader marketing calendar and business goals
○ Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on and deliver final content for posting across social channels (including liaising with copy + design team leads)
○ Manage + execute content postings for all brand social channels including weekly reporting share-outs
● Content Creation:
○ Manage in-house content creation process for brand owned social channels including: lo-fi content creation, UGC content briefing + creation process with creators, and supporting quarterly in-house content shoots
○ Budget management across in-house content production and creator content sourcing in partnership with marketing leads
● Community Management:
○ Oversee + manage community across brand owned social channels including: responding to comments, DMS, reposting creator + community organic content, etc.
Qualifications:
● 4-5+ years experience in social media management, content planning, and community management
● Excellent organization skills, detail orientation, and time management
● Ability to manage complex projects from idea to execution
● Entrepreneurial and analytical mindset with proficiency in social media analytics tools and reporting metrics
● A customer-first mindset, with a passion for creating memorable community moments and a willingness to challenge “the status quo” when it comes to the brand content landscape.
● Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills that align with brand identity
● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop/Canva, video editing, and DASH Hudson management.
● Extremely professional with non-biased mindset
● Proactive thinker and executer

● Witty, funny and have your pulse on culture and social media/cultural trends
● Strong understanding of the digital space and what content will perform best within each platform ● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet competing deadlines

● You have a desire to learn and grow within the DedCool team.
● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications
Salary And Benefits
● Employee Salary Band: $75-$90K
