We're now looking for an SEO manager who can take ownership of SEO strategy, drive traffic with the right intent, and contribute directly to our growth. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will make a real impact.
In addition to the waste sector, you will also work across several exciting businesses in our portfolio in areas such as SAAS, medical, health and safety and construction.
What you'll do:
- Directly oversee the SEO strategy of Business Waste, with scope to work on our other brands.
- Develop and implement comprehensive, data-driven SEO strategies aligned with business objectives and KPIs.
- Execute SEO activities like keyword research, competitor analysis, content optimisation, content planning, schema implementation, and reporting.
- Delegate tasks to other members of the team, such as creating content briefs to guide a writer on SEO best practices and how best to solidify commercial or informational intent.
- Support the upskilling of team members by refining their understanding of SEO strategy.
- Work collaboratively with our in-house marketing, digital PR, and content teams.
- Technical SEO: Schema markup, site crawling, SEO audits, fixing technical issues.
- On-Page SEO: Optimising site structure, internal linking, and content.
- Performance Analysis: GA4, Google Search Console, and other tools to track success.
- Stay up to date with algorithm changes, trends, and best practices.
About you:
- A minimum of three years of SEO experience, with a strong focus on strategy development and implementation.
- Previous experience working in an agency environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong experience in planning out website rebuilds from an SEO perspective, from the wireframing stage to handling the migration itself.
- Experience with B2B websites with a focus on lead generation.
- Strong client-handling skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships and simplify technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, including keyword optimisation, backlinks, content strategy, and user experience.
- Awareness of major algorithm updates, including EEAT, Helpful Content, and core updates, and the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Confident with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, GA4, and reporting platforms like Looker Studio.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent collaboration, organisational, and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for SEO and a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends.
- Experience in optimising for AI search/generative engines, particularly with AI overviews & AI mode.
- Experience in both Webflow and WordPress
Nice to have:
- CRO experience with growing lead generation for B2B websites.
- Using LLMs to create efficiencies in your SEO work, such as automating repetitive tasks or creating small tools.
- Experience that can contribute to the growth of AI agents in search from a technical level.
- An understanding of how other marketing channels play into a wider SEO strategy, with the ability to make recommendations on growing them.
Pay: Β£38,000.00-Β£40,000.00 per year
