SEO Brief Writer

(3 month contract, up to 20 hours/week)

Skyword is looking for a contract SEO specialist with on-page SEO experience to join our team. In this role, you would be responsible for creating in depth content briefs, mapping content on an asset by asset basis, and bringing on-page SEO expertise in copy, structure and depth of content in order to create topical authority on assets. 
On-page SEO experience is required. 

Key Responsibilities

• Creating in depth content briefs that guide writers on structure, keywords, and intent.
• Research the SERP landscape to understand ranking factors and intent
• Manually create detailed content outlines for blog and web content
• Stay current on SEO trends and algorithm changes
• Research SEO keywords to use throughout the company's website and marketing materials
• Collaborate with team members to manage SEO strategy

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns
• Proven experience writing SEO content briefs
• Strong understanding of keyword strategy, SERP analysis, and on-page SEO
• Understanding of AI and its role in Search
• Ability to synthesize competitive content insights into actionable outlines
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet weekly deadlines
• Knowledge of keyword research tools
• Able to complete competitive analysis of other companies within the industry
