B2B Content Marketing, B2C Content Marketing, SEO + AEO + GEO

Think Bambu is hiring.

We're looking for a SEO and Content Executive.

I'm keen to meet candidates who have been working in SEO for the last 3 years and are keen to level themselves up by working with a team that individually have 10+, 15+ and even 20+ years of experience.

We're fully remote and pretty much everyone plays an instrument of some sort. 🎸

Whilst we are remote, we are looking for those based in the UK. Preference is given to those in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee but it’s not essential.

If you are not based in the UK, please do not apply.

Send an email to [click apply] or DM me if you know someone who can fit the profile!

Remote (UK) only · £28K–£30K · Full-time

What's your more?

It's the question we put to every brand we work with. Now we're asking it of you.

If you're an SEO who can run a technical audit and turn a keyword map into copy that actually reads well, your "more" might be right here.

About us

Think Bambu is a growing growth marketing and design agency based in Scotland, working with ambitious brands across the UK and beyond.

We help them grow visibility, convert more leads and build sustainable revenue.

Clients tend to describe us as "an extension of our own team" and our advice as "clear and jargon-free."

We'd like to keep it that way which is part of why who we hire matters so much.

Our culture

We're a small, ambitious and experienced team that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We value clear thinking, plain English and people who just get on with it.

Our culture is built upon the foundations of trust, respect and accountability.

• We trust each other to do what we say we're going to do, when we say we're going to do it.

• Respect for experience and knowledge around each others core skills. This means that discussions, brain storming and exploring the best routes for clients is done knowing that everyone has positive intent.

• We are all accountable for our own work and our clients results. That means owning successes, mistakes, unknowns - the whole shabang!

We also take care of each other. We are mindful peoples capacity and personal circumstances. We like each other, we like working with each other and it's important that our small circle of trust is protected.

The role

This is a full-time, remote role for an SEO & Content Executive who's already comfortable with SEO and hungry to take themselves to the next level.

Plenty of people can do technical SEO. Plenty can write. The person we'd love to find can do both. Someone who can diagnose a crawl issue in the morning and write a genuinely good content brief (or the content itself) in the afternoon.

The split we're looking for is:

• 60% Technical SEO/ Landing Page Creation and Optimisation

• 25% Content briefing and creation

• 15% Reporting and analysis

If that's you, you'll stand out from the pile.

You'll execute and optimise across multiple client projects: technical fixes, keyword research, on-page implementation and support with development work for the benefit of SEO.

You'll create and refine content briefs, work alongside writers (or write the content yourself) and make sure everything lines up with SEO best practice and brand guidelines.

You'll track performance in GA4, Google Search Console, SEMRush and MS Clarity then turn the numbers into clear, honest reporting that non-SEO people can actually use.

And you'll partner with our design, development and marketing teams to sharpen UX, support campaigns and keep messaging consistent across channels.

What we're looking for: The hard skills

• Solid technical SEO foundations. You're comfortable with technical audits, crawl issues, site speed, structured data, canonicalisation and indexing. Good Screaming Frog familiarity is a plus. You won't need hand-holding on the basics, though you may lean on developers for the more complex implementations.

• Landing page development. You'll work within our SEO and Content team to create and build landing pages that convert within Wordpress, Elementor, Webflow and other CMS. The ideal candidate is already familiar with Wordpress and Elementor and knows how to get the best out of them.

• Hands-on with the tools. Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, MS Clarity, Google Sheets/ Docs etc. and similar. You can pull your own data, build basic reports and translate findings into actions without much direction.

• Content & keyword strategy. You can run keyword research independently, map it to a content strategy and work with writers to optimise pages. We're after competence here, not full ownership of content strategy (yet).

• Reporting & communication. Clear monthly performance reports and the ability to explain what the numbers actually mean to non-SEO stakeholders.

What makes a Panda: The soft skills

We affectionately refer to ourselves as pandas.

What constitutes Panda behaviour within Think Bambu?

• Curiosity. Someone who is naturally curious about learning. In this case, it's someone who wants to know and learn more about SEO and its position within the latest advancements of AI/ GEO/ AEO and all the other acronyms that make up the search landscape. You'll want to share that knowledge with the team so that we all level up.

• Empathy. You naturally are able to put yourselves in someone else's shoes and understand some elses opinion though it may differ from yours. You are not someone who instinctively places negative intent on another's actions.

• Pride. You are someone who takes pride in their work. You're not content with 'good enough'. You'll naturally strive for the best outcome within the parameters that you have to work with.

What's in it for you

• Real variety. Live client projects across a genuine mix of sectors, so no two weeks look the same.

• Room to level up. This role is built for someone on the way up with the support to get there from a team of senior, experienced marketers.

• Remote-first, working from anywhere in the UK. Our hours are flexible so that means that you can work when you like. The only request is that you're available/contactable during the working day, attend meetings when required and deliver your work on time and at a high standard.

The practical bits

• Full-time, remote with preference to those based in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.

• £28K–£30K

• UK-based applicants only. You must live in the UK to apply. Please don't apply if you don't. There are no exceptions. If you are not based in the UK, you will be automatically rejected. We wish it didn't need to be this way, but for now, this is the case.

If you're wondering how to make yourself stand out then sharing examples of your work & a short video showcasing yourself and your personality are all things that will get our attention. If you have any other ideas, then this is your opportunity to try them out!

The next step is that we'll invite you to have an informal chat with the co-founders of Think Bambu.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Good luck!
