Our team creates customer-facing technical documentation for Microsoft Intune, a cloud-based endpoint management solution that admins can use to manage end-user access to organizational resources, as well as apps and devices within an organization. We’re looking for a technical writer that: 

  • Thrives on helping customers succeed with technology 
  • Learns new technology quickly 
  • Comfortably communicates with internal and external partners 
  • Adapts to change and demonstrates flexibility 
  • Works with deadlines and timelines

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years experience in writing, content design, information technology (IT), or coding/programming OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience creating customer-facing documentation for software products. 

Other Requirements: 

  • The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Communications, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Previous professional experience with endpoint management, identity and access management, information security, or related cybersecurity areas.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in a professional voice that is tuned to different audiences, as demonstrated by portfolio or writing samples. 
  • Organizational skills and the ability to drive collaborative content projects. 
  • Customer obsession, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail 
  • Ability to demonstrate agility around change and to adapt to dynamic environments or business needs. 

Technical Writing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
