A fast-moving, content-driven organization is looking for an experienced freelance scientific writer who can step in quickly and provide immediate support. This assignment is ideal for a senior freelancer who enjoys scientific writing, can work independently and is used to handling complex content with accuracy and structure.

The organization is currently facing a high workload and needs additional writing capacity as soon as possible. The assignment is temporary, with an expected duration of approximately four months or longer, depending on workload and mutual fit.

Vacancy information

As a senior freelance scientific writer, you will support ongoing writing-heavy projects and help create additional capacity in a busy project environment. You will be expected to understand assignments quickly, structure information clearly and deliver high-quality written output without requiring extensive onboarding.

This role is focused on execution. You will not be expected to take on business development, marketing or broad operational responsibilities. The main objective is to provide reliable, senior-level scientific writing support and help move projects forward.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Working on grant-related content or project documents where relevant.
• Reviewing, structuring and translating complex information into clear written output.
• Supporting literature-based writing or content preparation.
• Helping process and summarize scientific or project-related information.

• Taking ownership of writing tasks without requiring extensive training.
