The ideal candidate is a careful, creative journalist fascinated by the ever-changing landscape of business and entrepreneurship with the appetite to work in a fast-paced newsroom.

They have experience leading a section or a publication, managing a team of staff and freelancers, and a knack for finding, growing and managing relationships with a variety of writers. The Senior Editor will also be adept at testing and executing audience development strategies—considering how best to leverage newsletters, social media, AI, and search—to attract new readers.

The Senior Editor will work a 3-day hybrid schedule (Tuesday-Thursday onsite) based in the New York City office.

This position is covered under the Writers Guild of America East Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Salary range: $86,000- $120,400. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.
