B2B Content Marketing, Content Strategy, SaaS Marketing, PPC and Advertising, AI and Automation

I'm hiring a Senior Digital Marketing Manager at Popl.
Most job posts hide the hard parts. I put them right at the top.

Here's the TLDR:
→ Scrappy marketer wanted for demanding role.
→ Lean marketing team, rapidly-growing company.
→ Attribution and reporting you'll have to build yourself.
→ Every digital channel & budget on your shoulders.
→ Reports directly to VP of Marketing (me).
→ Develop close relationship with CEO and CRO.
→ Thrives in change, challenge, and ambiguity.

Sound like too much pressure? Keep scrolling. This post isn't for you.

It's for someone hungry. Someone who wants to fast-track their career at a profitable, hyper-growth B2B SaaS scale-up, and who sees a lean team at a fast-growing company for what it actually is: the rarest kind of springboard career opportunity.

Still here? Then read the second half:

Marketing at Popl has stayed intentionally lean while the company has grown fast. That means the surface area of this role is enormous: Paid search, SEO, AI search visibility, email, the website, the agency, the budget.
All yours, day one.

For the right person, that's not overwhelming — it's the opportunity to compress 5 years of career growth into one.

You'd be building the engine, not maintaining it, and the trajectory from here runs wherever you want to take it — a leadership seat as we scale, or the highest-impact IC role in the company.

→ No layers. You report to me, you present to leadership, your work shows up in pipeline, and you get the recognition for it.
→ AI search is a real channel here, not a bullet point. You'd own how Popl shows up in the answer engines.
→ You're the digital counterpart to a company built on in-person events and conferences.

Fully remote, US-based, meaningful equity.
Honor and recognition in case of success.

Who We Are

Popl is defining a new category we call In-Person Go-To-Market.

We help revenue teams turn real-world interactions — trade shows, conferences, field events, and meetings — into measurable pipeline and revenue. Our AI-native platform powers event lead capture, enrichment, and real-time CRM sync, transforming every badge scan into a high-quality, actionable lead.

In a world where digital channels are saturated, we're building the infrastructure that makes in-person GTM measurable, scalable, and revenue-driving. Our mission is simple: help companies around the world turn in-person events into a measurable & scalable growth channel.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Popl is looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to own and optimize our digital demand generation engine, including paid search, AI search, SEO, email marketing, and website performance, while building the attribution systems and executive reporting these channels currently lack. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who can run channels day-to-day, manage our digital advertising agency and channel contractors, and translate performance into clear, credible reporting for leadership.

You'll report to our VP of Marketing and work closely with our Head of Content on content strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own SEO & AI search visibility: Set technical and content SEO strategy, and build out how Popl shows up in AI-driven search and answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews).
  • Manage paid media & agency performance: Own the relationship with our paid search/social agency — set strategy, manage budget, and hold them accountable to performance targets.
  • Drive email marketing: Lead lifecycle, nurture, and campaign email, managing segmentation, deliverability, and performance.
  • Optimize the website: Lead inbound conversion optimization, on-page experience, and coordinate site updates.
  • Direct content strategy: Partner with our Head of Content on high-impact pieces, and oversee contractors and AI agents handling website content writing and optimization.
  • Build measurement & executive reporting: Build the reporting and attribution framework these channels currently lack — dashboards in HubSpot and Salesforce, baseline KPIs, and leadership-ready reporting.
  • Manage contractors & vendors: Directly manage the agency and channel contractors supporting these functions.
  • Own budget allocation: Organize and manage spend across all channels above.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: 5-8+ years in digital marketing, ideally B2B SaaS.
  • Paid search & SEO expertise: Hands-on experience running paid search and SEO, including managing external agencies and holding them to performance standards.
  • AI search visibility: Demonstrated experience with AI SEO / AI search visibility tools (LLM citation tracking, AI Overview presence, answer-engine optimization).
  • Reporting & analytics: Ability to independently build reports and dashboards in both HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • AI fluency: Experience building agent skills, routines, or automated workflows in tools like Claude or ChatGPT — using AI as working infrastructure for reporting, analysis, and content operations.
  • Executive communication: Proven ability to build and present executive-level reporting, translating channel data into business narrative.
  • Vendor & content management (preferred): Experience managing agencies and contractors for channel execution and content production, with strong editorial judgment.
  • Mindset: Bias toward data-driven decision-making and comfort with ambiguity in an early-stage, resource-constrained environment.

Why join us?

  • Be part of a rocket-ship startup redefining how professionals connect and grow.
  • Work closely with experienced leaders and cross-functional teams to shape our financial strategy.
  • Make a measurable impact in a role critical to our long-term success.
  • Fully remote
  • Competitive salary
  • Meaningful equity
  • Full insurance & benefits
  • Unlimited PTO
  • $150 monthly wellness credit
  • Constant daily learning
