I'm hiring for one of the most important (and often misunderstood) roles in B2B marketing — Senior Content Strategist.
This isn't a content production role. It isn't project management. And it isn't about creating more assets. It's about connecting customer insight, buyer behavior, product strategy, and AI to shape content strategy that builds trust, influences decisions, and drives pipeline.
The best content strategists think like marketers first. They understand business outcomes, partner closely with sales and product marketing, and measure success by impact, not content volume.
As we build a team focused on reaching new prospects and creating demand in the market, this role will help define the stories that differentiate us and move buyers to action.
If you love uncovering the stories buyers actually care about, turning customer insights into compelling narratives, and using AI to amplify strategic thinking, I'd love to connect!

insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Content Strategist to serve as a partner to the EPM marketing team — developing and producing content that earns attention, builds credibility, and drives pipeline. This is not a production or program management role. This individual thinks like a marketer, understands how buyers make decisions, and builds content that moves people through a journey. They will work as a senior IC embedded in a team of marketers, contributing to campaign strategy, engaging directly with customers, and producing content that sales wants to use and buyers actually read. AI is not an add-on in this role — it is core to how this person works, produces, and scales. The ideal candidate is already an AI power user or is genuinely committed to becoming one, and brings 7+ years of B2B content and marketing experience, exceptional writing skills, and the instinct and drive to operate at both the strategic and executional level.
What Will You Do?
- Define and own the content strategy for your EPM area, aligned to pipeline, brand, and product launch goals — including editorial calendar, publishing cadence, and quality standards across all asset types.
- Map content to buyer personas, funnel stages, and use cases across the Office of the CFO, identifying category-defining angles and white space opportunities, particularly in AI for finance.
- Write, edit, and produce high-quality content across formats including long-form, web, social, video scripts, email, and thought leadership.
- Engage directly with customers to source insights, validate messaging, and develop reference content — including case studies, testimonials, and co-created thought leadership.
- Build and manage a customer content program that turns customer outcomes into compelling stories and fuels both marketing and sales motions.
- Translate product messaging into buyer-facing narratives that resonate with CFO audiences.
- Contribute to flagship content programs including research reports and category-level thought leadership in partnership with Corporate Communications.
- Support in building and refining AI-powered content workflows that increase output, speed, and quality across asset types — and serve as a model for how AI-augmented content creation works in practice.
- Define content KPIs, measure performance across the funnel, and iterate based on engagement, conversion, and sales feedback.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Sales to ensure content is integrated with campaigns and actively used in deals.
How Will You Get It Done?
-
Strategic Ownership — bring a clear point of view on content direction, audience needs, and what earns trust with finance buyers, and back it up with execution.
-
Writing Excellence — hold a high bar for quality and voice; you write, edit, and produce content yourself rather than directing from a distance.
-
Customer Orientation — build genuine relationships with customers, understand their stories, and translate their experiences into content that resonates with peers.
-
Commercial Instinct — connect content decisions to pipeline outcomes, not just brand metrics; you understand how content fits into a buying journey.
-
AI Fluency — you are an AI power user or actively becoming one; you know which tools accelerate content research, production, and optimization, and you build workflows that produce more without sacrificing quality or voice.
-
Drive and Adaptability — operate with urgency in a fast-moving environment, managing competing priorities and evolving strategy without losing momentum.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience spanning content strategy and marketing — candidates with a pure content production or editorial background without marketing exposure will not be the right fit.
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing motions — how campaigns work, how buyers move through a funnel, and how content contributes to pipeline at each stage.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce content for senior finance audiences.
- Proven track record developing content strategy with measurable pipeline or commercial impact — not just content volume or engagement metrics.
- Direct experience engaging with customers for case study development, advisory input, or co-created content.
- Demonstrated AI fluency — either current expertise with AI content tools and workflows, or a clear, proven commitment to developing it fast; this role requires genuine AI-powered production, not occasional experimentation.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product marketing, marketing, and sales in a matrixed environment.
- Background in finance technology, ERP, EPM, FP&A, or adjacent categories strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
