As a Sr. Content Marketing Manager, youโll be involved in creating high-quality content as well as developing advanced content strategies, ensuring that Unmuted's clients successfully implement them.
Think of strategies that encompass a holistic mix of SEO blog articles, customer case studies, short videos, and social content series, all the way to designing the site architecture for the ultimate B2B SaaS website.
A large part of the also revolves around working on positioning and messaging. Together with clients, you do research into how they should strategically position themselves with regard to competition and the overall market. Next, youโll figure out which type of messaging best supports this positioning strategy.
You enjoy doing research and carefully studying target audiences. You do this with the help of a smart set of tools. Writing and playing with words is something you find so enjoyable that you could do it all day, every day.
Within the Content Team, you pick up a variety of projects, together with your colleagues. Aside from that, you work together with a Demand Marketing Manager who has a (promotional) plan for the content and strategies you create.
This role is extremely hands-on. This means that, after youโve familiarized yourself with our content marketing principles, you can get started straight away. Both for our customers and for Unmuted as a company. Youโll learn a whole lot very quickly, enabling you to independently manage client communications in no time, discussing how their content strategies can be best implemented. Youโll also be reporting to clients on both successful and less successful experiments, providing insight into where adjustments might be needed.
The world of B2B marketing is changing faster than ever before. With the introduction of privacy regulations, the rise of new social media channels and search behaviour through LLMs, the accessibility of knowledge, and new business models, the way people find inspiration and buy products and services has drastically shifted. However, B2B still carries a โboringโ reputation, weighed down by whitepapers, webinars, and superficial blogs. We aim to shake that up with a fresh perspective.
With a passionate team of experienced marketing professionals, at Unmuted weโre developing the new B2B marketing playbook on a daily basis. We make sure we stay at the forefront when it comes to modern, impactful B2B marketing.
We currently work with a fantastic portfolio of promising startups and successful scale-ups in the SaaS domain. We help them develop and optimize their GTM engine (in other words, their marketing machine). This includes setting up ad campaigns, creating lots of content, and building out awesome websites.
You love playing with words and visuals, but always with a commercial goal in mind. You have a background in journalism, communications, linguistics, or you're simply passionate about doing something with language (thatโs fine too, of course).
Additionally, you have at least 5 years of highly relevant work experience in content marketing within SaaS, for example at a startup or scale-up. This means you already have significant experience with copywriting, messaging, positioning or independently cooking up entire content strategies. If you're a native Dutch speaker, it goes without saying that you speak and write flawless Dutch. If not Dutch, you're fluent in (professional) English, of course.
Things youโll learn about and get practical experience in:
We kick off the week with the Client Weekly. During this tactical meeting, we review ongoing projects and set the focus for each client.
Some days, youโll work on high level positioning strategies and strategic messaging. Other days, youโll be writing blog articles, conducting interviews, creating social posts for LinkedIn, and reviewing subtitles for short video clips.
Throughout the week, youโll collaborate with our Demand Marketing Managers when their clients need content. You'll work closely with the Head of Content Marketing.
If youโre working in the office, we typically have lunch around 12:00 and take our time for it. A short walk after lunch? Always a good idea. You'll usually be back at your desk by 1:00 PM.
If youโre working from home, you have the flexibility to set your own hours, as long as thereโs enough overlap with a regular workweek and you're available for the daily start meeting.
On Fridays, we often finish work a bit earlier. If youโre up for it, you can grab a drink with colleagues at the office or at a nearby pub. But feel free to head home and kick off your weekend however you like.
Working at Unmuted means learning new things, working with fun colleagues, celebrating successes, feeling good about your work, and starting (and ending) your day with a smile.
At Unmuted, youโre not just taking on a role, you're building a personal brand and network from which you'll benefit for the rest of your life. You'll be surrounded by experts in marketing, design, content, and no-code development.
They constantly share their knowledge via Slack and on LinkedIn, and they encourage you to do the same. This means that in no time, you'll be among the top 1% of B2B marketing professionals in the Netherlands. Take a look at the LinkedIn posts of your future colleagues:
