About Pistachio

The smartest B2B companies build their own audiences. Pistachio applies media-company thinking to B2B growth, producing editorial-first content that builds authority, generates pipeline, and compounds over time.

We work with startups, scaleups, and established B2B brands that treat owned content as a durable brand and growth asset. Over the past few years we've worked with BuzzFeed, Clay, and Atono, among others. I also write Brand Chemistry, a weekly newsletter on brand and growth with 120,000 subscribers, which doubles as our own proof of concept.

We are a small, senior team where everyone owns something meaningful. This role owns the content delivery.

The Role

As Senior Content Lead, you own client content end to end. You produce the work yourself, you hold the final say on quality, you run client delivery and the communication around it, and you take ownership of the systems that make it repeatable.

It is a senior seat with no approval layer above you. I keep the commercial relationship and bring most clients in through my network, so your focus is the craft and the delivery. Everything to do with day-to-day content sits with you.

What You'll Own

Client content, end to end

This is the core of the role. Across a portfolio of clients, you turn insight into published content at a standard that makes clients say "no notes". You work across the full range of B2B formats.

  • Newsletters: flagship editorial, written in the client's voice and positioning.
  • LinkedIn/X: founder and executive posts that perform while sounding like how the person actually thinks.
  • Long-form assets: guides, playbooks, reports, and frameworks that double as lead magnets.
  • Campaign copy: landing pages and email sequences that support lead generation.

Whatever the format, the job is the same three moves.

  • Extract: find the story. Review raw material like meeting transcripts, or interview clients directly, to pull out their ideas, opinions, and specifics.
  • Write: produce content that sounds like the client, with real storytelling, originality, and depth, and none of the AI patterns.
  • Final say: hold the quality bar. You are the last set of eyes, so nothing needs extra review before it ships.

Client delivery and the comms around it

You are the client's main point of contact for the work. You start delivery-facing and, as trust builds, become the person the client deals with day to day, running review rounds, approvals, updates, and everything involved in getting content live. Run well enough that the client barely has to think about it.

Voice and editorial standards

Nail each client's voice and hold it. We have internal editorial standards that apply across the board, with further benchmarks set by each client. We sound like them. You own that standard across everything that goes out.

The content system

Pistachio runs on systems, including AI and automations. You approach every repeating process asking how it could be better, and you bring a more experienced take on taste and workflow than what exists today. Over time you take ownership of the content system and evolve it with your own methods, so it reflects your expertise.

The team

You work alongside our Content Operations Lead, who looks after workflows like publishing, design, and scheduling. You give them direction on craft and help them grow. It stays a flat team, we all work together.

The First 90 Days

30 days: get across the work

  • Learn your clients, their voices, and what "sounds like them" means for each
  • Take over content production for your clients, producing at a bar that needs no rewrite
  • Get inside the current content system and workflows

60 days: run it independently

  • Own day-to-day client communication and delivery for your clients
  • Content ships without other reviews
  • First improvement to the content system identified, tested, and documented

90 days: make it yours

  • Full ownership of delivery and day-to-day client comms
  • Meaningful upgrades to the content system, bringing your own taste and workflow

Who You Are

  • A superwriter, first and foremost. You can interview a B2B founder about a technical product, pull out the insight that matters to the audience they're talking to, and turn it into content that sounds like them, across different industries and formats.
  • Sharp editorial taste and judgement. You know a good angle from a mediocre one, you see what a brief is missing, and you hold the line on quality.
  • You use AI as a power tool and edit like a human. You draft and research with it, but edit relentlessly so the work is worth reading. The anti-bland filter is always on.
  • Personable and client-facing. You build relationships, hold a conversation, run a meeting, and keep clients feeling looked after.
  • A systems thinker. You have used AI tools and you are keen to own and improve how content gets made with them, the right way.
  • Self-managing. You take direction at the start and run with it, you send work you're confident in, and you close loops instead of leaving them open.
  • Quality over volume, every time.

This is not the role for you if:

  • You need constant feedback to do your best work
  • Your only editorial voice is your own
  • Lightly edited AI output is your idea of "good enough"

What You'll Get

  • Complete ownership of client delivery and the content craft, with no approval layer above you
  • A senior seat in a lean, high-quality agency, working directly with the founder (me 😁)
  • Work across B2B SaaS and media brands, with editorial freedom most agency roles don't offer
  • In-person collaboration in London
  • Room to grow as the agency scales
