About The Team And The Role

As a senior content designer, you will lead key end-to-end projects that enhance the buying and selling experience on eBay. Collaborating within a product team, you’ll craft clear, consumer-facing content that directly impacts business outcomes. You’ll take full ownership of your workstreams and connect various initiatives to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

As a full-stack senior content designer, you know writing is designing. You see language as a design material and as an integral part of the UX Design process, and you get others to think the same. You not only understand how to evaluate the quality of content design, but also how to improve it. You enjoy working with cross-discipline partners to co-create strategies, iterate through all stages of fidelity, and define outcomes in ambiguous spaces.

What You Will Accomplish

  • Lead the content design process from discovery and ideation to the final fit and finish of full-fidelity designs
  • Deliver high-quality, error-free content that aligns with UX standard processes
  • Express a POV that considers perspectives from partner teams, anticipate risks, and engage in healthy debate that leads to resolution
  • Drive a cohesive product narrative and end-to-end consistency in partnership with marketing and customer support teams.
  • Ensure content is accessible and inclusive, and collaborate with the Localization team to scale content for global markets.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 4+ of those years on in-product UX content
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction, or related field portfolio of work demonstrating human-centered design thinking and solutions
  • Experience co-leading the design process from early concept to launch
  • Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity
