You'll be leading the recipe review process across both our internal culinary team and our external network of extremely talented contributors, so we're looking for someone with a sharp attention to detail across all types of recipes and food content. (Bonus points if you have experience optimizing editorial workflows to make the editing process more user-friendly from beginning to end.)

The Role
BuzzFeed Tasty is looking for a detail-oriented recipe editor to support our Editorial and Branded teams. The role is responsible for copyediting recipes and social captions submitted by our culinary team, creators and external talent. The ideal candidate should have deep culinary knowledge, specifically as it relates to recipe writing and food media, with an understanding of Tasty’s unique POV.
You will ensure the accuracy and clarity of all Tasty.co recipes for editorial and branded projects, including video copy, recipe titles and headers. The role is also responsible for writing and editing recipe roundups, as necessary. You will work with our SEO team to keep our content up-to-date and adherent to SEO best practices.
We are looking for an organized self-starter that can not only work within our existing systems but can introduce efficiencies, as necessary. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to creative content and cross-platform initiatives as appropriate. This is a remote role, though we do provide workspace in our LA and NYC-based offices if you prefer to work in-office.
