📈 Our Bloomberg News Money team is growing, and I’m looking for two seasoned reporters who can translate complex financial shifts into great stories for a smart, ambitious audience.
The first role is for someone who can find original, must-read stories in the world of investments and the psychology of markets. You should be able to spot novel ways people are moving money and report on them for a discerning reader who already has skin in the game.
The second role covers money more broadly, including the long financial arc of family, from the ROI of education to the leap from college to career. You are the kind of reporter who can get real people on the phone quickly, get them to share their specific money stories, and show how larger economic factors affect their bottom line.
If you have a Notes file full of fresh ideas and the reporting chops to match, we'd love to see your work. Job links --> in comments

Bloomberg News is seeking a reporter to join our Money team to cover individual investing as a pillar of modern personal finance. This beat is about how people put money to work, how they decide what risk they can live with, and how new products and easy access are influencing those choices. You will write about what people are buying and how they are buying it, with a clear eye on costs and consequences.
We want a reporter who can catch an investing idea taking shape early, before it hardens into consensus. You should live close enough to the online conversation and be in tune with the broader macro and market environment to know what is gaining traction, and skeptical enough to ask what is true. The successful candidate can choose a specific group or investing vehicle and make it real on the page, defined by age, stage, and real dollars at stake. You can get investors on the record, report their lives with care, and show why their choices matter beyond the market close.
News and enterprise are central to the role, alongside ambitious service and how-to journalism. You will deliver stories that identify what is changing in personal investing, who is being pulled in, and where the risks are hiding. You will also produce sophisticated guides that answer the burning questions readers bring to Bloomberg, including how to access a hard-to-reach asset, how a new vehicle really works, and what costs and constraints shape the outcome. The work should be rigorous, sourced, and lively on the page.
To be considered, please submit your application by Wednesday, March 11.
