As a Copywriter at Rocket Loans, you bring trust, transparency, and momentum to every touchpoint. You excel at balancing distinctive brand voice and messaging with strategic optimization for discovery and performance. Reporting to the Senior Art Director for Copy, you'll create compelling content across web, email, paid social, search, and direct mail that drives engagement and business results. Your expertise in copywriting and A/B testing will help our growth-focused Creative Strategy team unlock new learnings for every channel and contribute directly to business objectives.
About the role
Write concise, direct-response copy for landing pages, email, social ads, paid search, and direct mail that reflects Rocket Loans' voice, messaging strategy, and business objectives
Develop lifecycle and nurture email campaigns that build trust, drive engagement, and strengthen lifetime value
Help optimize web copy for SEO/SEM discoverability and citability while maintaining brand integrity and conversion focus
Maintain brand consistency and copy freshness across all owned channels by updating messaging and refining copy on a regular cadence
Follow test learnings and other performance insights to inform copywriting strategy, measure performance, and identify opportunities for optimization
Collaborate with marketing, product, creative, and engineering teams to ensure brand alignment, copy implementation, and strategic execution
Support brand initiatives including press release drafting, media relations, and earned media efforts
About you
Minimum Qualifications
3–5 years of experience writing and editing copy for a variety of channels
Portfolio required
Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related field
Comfortable working in Figma (no design experience needed)
Experience working with project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Monday, Confluence)
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time
An appetite for feedback and high level of comfort receiving notes from stakeholders and legal; it's okay to "kill your darlings"
Real interest in how to make the next asset even better; curiosity about who our clients are, what they want, and the right way to show up for them
Excellent at proofreading and self-editing for spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Energized by coming up with new concepts—you're a creative problem-solver by nature
You love seeing new work go live, but you're even more excited to see how it performs and why
Preferred Qualifications
Experience writing for consumer brands in highly-regulated industries (finance, housing, healthcare/pharma, automotive, CPG)
You've been responsible for correctly applying asterisks and disclaimers
Experience drafting press releases or supporting affiliate relations and earned media

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $66,500.00-$140,000.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
