About the Role:
Girls Who Eat (GWE) is seeking a Newsletter Writer & Copywriter to craft compelling, high-quality newsletters and marketing copy that align with our brand voice, educational approach, and community-driven mission. This part-time role (10-15 hours per month) will focus on writing engaging monthly newsletters, editing larger content projects, and ensuring messaging consistency across all digital platforms.
The ideal candidate has experience in email marketing, brand storytelling, and wellness-focused content, with a strong understanding of influencer marketing, affiliate integrations, and non-toxic brands. They should be able to write in an engaging, educational, and digestible way that resonates with the GWE community while driving engagement and conversions.
Key Responsibilities:
Newsletter & Copywriting
- Write 2-4 high-quality monthly themed newsletters that align with GWEβs content pillars, seasonal themes, and community favorites.
- Maintain consistency in the GWE tone of voice and brand messaging across all newsletters.
- Craft compelling subject lines and calls to action to maximize engagement and conversions.
- Integrate affiliate marketing links and brand partnerships naturally within content.
- Occasionally write brand-dedicated newsletters or branded email series with paid partners.
Business Copywriting
- Develop copy for case studies showcasing GWEβs success with brand partners and campaigns.
- Write and optimize welcome funnels, email flows, and automated sequences to engage and nurture the GWE audience.
- Support the development of sales materials, landing pages, and partnership decks with compelling copy.
Editorial & Content Repurposing (If Aligned with Expertise)
- Assist in writing brand reviews, product roundups, and expert guides related to clean eating, non-toxic living, and wellness products.
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form copy for social media, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
About You:
- Experienced Writer: You have 3+ years of experience writing in the non-toxic living, wellness, or commerce space (with samples to share) and have worked with publications, influencers, or health & wellness brands.
- Marketing & SEO Knowledge: You have a strong background in marketing-focused copywriting and understand SEO best practices for digital content.
- Email Marketing & Funnel Expertise: You have experience writing welcome sequences, email flows, and conversion-focused newsletters.
- Affiliate Marketing Experience: You are comfortable writing content that integrates affiliate marketing links and brand partnerships seamlessly into the messaging.
- Deadline-Oriented: You can meet all deadlines and deliver polished drafts on time.
- Strong Communicator: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can articulate ideas clearly.
- Content Repurposing Mindset: You can identify opportunities for content to be reshared, repurposed, or elevated for different platforms.
- Independent & Proactive: You can jump into projects quickly, work independently, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Collaborative & Aligned: You work well with a team and align with GWEβs values, brand voice, and educational approach.
- Detail-Oriented: You maintain brand consistency, follow grammatical standards, and ensure all content feels approachable, accessible, and engaging.
