About the Role:

Girls Who Eat (GWE) is seeking a US-based Health Newsletter & Commerce Copywriter to craft compelling, high-quality newsletters and email marketing copy that align with our brand voice, educational approach, and community-driven mission. This part-time role (~20 hours per month) will focus on writing engaging monthly newsletters across two platforms while ensuring messaging consistency across all digital platforms.

The ideal candidate has experience in email marketing, brand storytelling, and health-focused content, with a strong understanding of affiliate integrations, commerce writing, and non-toxic living. They should be able to write in an engaging, educational, and digestible way that resonates with the GWE community while driving engagement and conversions.

Key Responsibilities:

Newsletter & Copywriting

  • Write 2-4 high-quality monthly themed newsletters in FloDesk that align with GWE’s content pillars, seasonal themes, and community favorites.
  • Help produce commerce-enabled newsletters such as gift guides and themed, category-focused content.
  • Write for our Substack (~3-4 articles a month) alongside the CEO, supporting both free and paid content offerings with clear, value-driven messaging.
  • Maintain consistency in the GWE tone of voice and brand messaging across all newsletters.
  • Craft compelling subject lines and calls to action to maximize engagement and conversions.
  • Integrate affiliate marketing links and brand partnerships naturally within content.
  • Occasionally write brand-dedicated newsletters or branded email series with paid partners.

Editorial Copywriting (As Needed)

  • Assist in writing brand reviews, product roundups, and expert guides related to clean eating, non-toxic living, and wellness products.

About You:

  • Experienced Writer: You have 3+ years of experience writing in the non-toxic living, health, and commerce space (with samples to share) and have worked with publications or health & wellness brands.
  • Marketing & SEO Knowledge: You have a strong background in marketing-focused copywriting and understand SEO best practices for digital content.
  • Affiliate Marketing Experience: You are comfortable writing content that integrates affiliate marketing links and brand partnerships seamlessly into the messaging.
  • Substack-Savvy: You’re familiar with writing for Substack and understand how to structure content for free and paid audiences while driving subscriptions and engagement.
  • Commerce-Focused Mindset: You know how to craft shoppable content like gift guides and category features that inform and convert.
  • Deadline-Oriented: You can meet all deadlines and deliver polished drafts on time.
  • Strong Communicator: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can articulate ideas clearly.
  • Independent & Proactive: You can jump into projects quickly, work independently, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Collaborative & Aligned: You work well with a team and align with GWE’s values, brand voice, and educational approach.
  • Detail-Oriented: You maintain brand consistency, follow grammatical standards, and ensure all content feels approachable, accessible, and engaging.
