Position Summary

Young Futures is hiring a Multimedia Content Creator to support YF Studio — our in-house creative team that powers storytelling, content, and communications across the organization.

This is a hands-on creative role focused on making content.

We are looking for someone who is a social video editor first, with strong instincts for what performs with a curated audience. You can take clear creative direction and turn it into high-quality, platform-native content quickly and consistently.

You know how to take raw footage, interviews, or written content and turn it into something that people actually stop, watch, and share.

You will help build a dynamic social presence by producing short-form video, visual assets, and content that brings our work to life.

This role is ideal for someone who loves creating, editing, and shipping content and is excited to contribute to a mission-driven team.

About Young Futures

Young Futures is a nonprofit on a mission to help young people thrive in a tech-filled world. We fund and scale youth-focused nonprofits through open-call funding challenges, storytelling, and community building.

Over the next five years, we aim to support 500 nonprofit leaders through our YF500 initiative, reach millions of youth and families, and shift the cultural conversation around adolescence in the digital age to a more optimistic and solutions-oriented place.

Our brand is upbeat, vibrant, and youthful, designed to resonate with the adults who champion teens and preteens.

Who We're Looking For

  • You have experience creating content that has grown or engaged communities on Instagram and TikTok.
  • A strong content creator and video editor who can produce high-quality content efficiently.
  • Able to take clear creative direction and translate it into polished, platform-ready content.
  • Comfortable working within an established creative vision rather than building strategy from scratch.
  • Deeply engaged in conversations around technology, AI, and digital life, and able to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and how content performs across platforms.
  • A self-directed and reliable executor who consistently delivers work on time.
  • A thoughtful storyteller with a clear point of view and strong creative judgment.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Content Creation

  • Edit short-form video content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube using existing footage, interviews, and assets.
  • Translate long-form content (panels, podcasts, written pieces) into engaging, platform-native edits.
  • Create social graphics and carousels using Canva, Figma, or Adobe tools.
  • Edit video and prepare visuals to support senior leadership content across channels.
  • Apply strong editing fundamentals (pacing, structure, storytelling).
  • Design and execute text overlays and typography, motion graphics and transitions, captions and callouts.

Content Execution

  • Take creative briefs and turn them into finished, high-quality content.
  • Execute against a weekly content calendar.
  • Support delivery of at least two pieces of content per week.

Asset Development

  • Build and maintain a library of video clips, photos, and templates.
  • Organize content for reuse across platforms.
  • Support the development of a content backlog.

Platform Optimization

  • Ensure content is tailored to platform-specific formats and best practices.
  • Adapt content for Reels, Stories, and other social placements.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Director of Creative Strategy, who leads concept and storytelling.
  • Collaborate with Communications on messaging alignment as needed.
  • Coordinate with external designers or creators when applicable.

Relevant Qualifications

  • Responsible use of AI tools, with transparency around their use in final work products.
  • 3–6+ years of experience producing content for social-first brands, media companies, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven ability to create high-performing social content, with a portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, editing, and visual execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital audiences and platform behavior, with the ability to create content that is both engaging and culturally relevant.
  • Experience working within a defined creative direction and executing against established brand voice and content strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex or nuanced topics into clear, accessible content for broad audiences.
  • Familiarity with conversations around technology, AI, and digital life, and comfort working within a rapidly evolving subject area.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders, managing timelines and delivering consistently.
  • Proficiency in video editing and design tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, Figma, or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage assets, versions, and content workflows.
