We are seeking a talented Marketing Content Specialist to join our marketing team here at Smoothstack. As a Marketing Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that will be utilized across all marketing channels. You will play a key role in shaping the company's brand voice and ensuring consistency in messaging across various media types.

Responsibilities

· Develop and execute content strategies for three separate brand identities that align with overall marketing objectives (Smoothstack, Fedstack and Uptime Crew).

· Create engaging and persuasive content and messaging for use across all marketing channels, including but not limited to website content, social media posts, email campaigns, advertising materials, blog posts, press releases, whitepapers, eBooks, webinars, case studies, sales decks and one-sheets.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and partners to ensure that messaging is aligned with the brand and service offerings.

· Create and maintain a content calendar ensuring timely execution of content across all media types as well as manage the created content assets on SharePoint ensuring they are organized and up to date.

· Develop a content matrix based on target audiences and manage content strategy for each specific industry, technology and job title targeted by the company, ensuring that messaging resonates with the unique needs and preferences of each.

· Strategically manage content for industry-specific applications, tailoring messaging and content to suit the requirements of different sectors.

· Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends to inform content development and strategy.

· Find, coordinate, monitor and analyze the performance of content marketing channels using relevant metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.

· Stay up-to-date with best practices in content marketing and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the company’s content initiatives.

· Ensure consistency in the company brand voice, messaging, and style guidelines across all marketing materials.

· Extract and craft newsjacking PR commentary from internal executives and SMEs, often with quick turnaround. Review and refine press releases, bylines, and other PR materials as needed to ensure alignment with brand messaging and industry trends.

· Regularly meet with internal SMEs to craft thought leadership content that elevates their POV, ensuring their insights are effectively communicated across PR opportunities, bylines, and industry commentary.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

· 5+ years of proven experience in content creation, preferably in a marketing or advertising role.

· Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

· Track-record of tying and reporting on KPIs to content production and performance.

· Experience with working in, producing and marketing multiple forms of content including such types as: blog posts, whitepapers, eBooks, webinars, videos etc.

· Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and content management systems.

· Proficiency in Content Management principles and best practices.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and brand identities simultaneously.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills within the team, across the company and outside of the company.

· Creative thinker with the ability to generate and execute innovative ideas around content development and marketing

· Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive content strategy decisions.

· Comfortable engaging with c-level executive team regularly to derive thought leadership insights

Nice to haves, bonus points

· Proven ability to leverage AI to augment content production

· Skill at creating content for staffing/recruiting industry

· Background in producing content for technology related field ie Software, IT Services, etc.

· Creative platform and video production/editing expertise

· Experience using ClickUp
