Localization Writer

I'm exhausted. Exhausted of looking for the best experts around to create interesting content; exhausted of crafting compelling questions and thinking of the best ideas to interview specialists; exhausted of working on excellent content briefs with Gletjan Muço... just to get an AI document back from a "writer" and expect compensation in return.

At this point, I'm even convinced some "authors" are using my instructions to make their prompts more refined and their output less "detectable."

Being a REAL editor and writer is getting harder in the AI era.

Everyone thinks they can write using GPT.
Everyone thinks you won't notice their AI-generated e-mail response.
Everyone can trick you into paying them for a piece they didn't write.

But a REAL editor and writer notices. We're not luddites: we simply believe engaging stories need to have soul and real experiences behind it (yes: even B2B content!). And AI should be used for what it was meant for... making boring tasks easier, leaving space for creativity.

(😆 Funny thing is, someone around these parts will probably see this post and think I haven't even typed it myself because it's formatted attractively, contains an em dash, or uses anaphorisms. Trust: some of us read and learnt to write before LLMs came along.)

Anyway: if you're a writer with localization experience or a localization specialist that truly enjoys sharing their expertise without relying on AI, I'll be chuffed to meet you. Looking for a native Korean linguist with good writing skills in English at the moment. And for some light at the end of the editorial tunnel. 😪
