The SolarAPP Foundation is a non-profit start-up revolutionizing the clean energy landscape. By automating the permitting process for residential solar and energy storage systems, we help scale clean energy solutions across the country. Automated permitting reduces workloads for local government staff and provides faster service for homeowners. Today, we provide automated and instant permits for 270 jurisdictions across 13 states. We've accelerated the deployment of 300,000 kW of clean energy generation. Our goal is to automate the permitting for half of all residential solar and battery storage in the country by the end of the decade. This will dramatically accelerate and significantly lower the cost of the clean energy transition.
In order to achieve the goal of providing automated permitting for half the country, we need to scale up our reach and impact massively. This role is critical for us to achieve that goal. We need to communicate with customers and would-be customers more effectively and more directly.
The Head of Marketing will be the strategic driver for SolarAPP Foundation's marketing initiatives. This role will focus on expanding the organization's reach, driving customer acquisition, and building a strong digital-first marketing strategy to support our mission of transforming clean energy deployment. You will lead branding, digital marketing, and lead-generation strategies while collaborating closely with product and go-to-market teams.
You'll report to our CEO, Matthew, and work with him on the organization's overall direction and strategy and how to incorporate that into our message to key audiences.
You will work across our team in this role, including with our Chief Technology Officer, Dan, on strategies connected to the product and service we provide. You'll work with Esha, our new Sr. Product Manager, on how to market our product and communicate new features. You'll work with our head of go-to-market activities, Patrick, to ensure that our marketing approach translates into high-value leads. You'll work with our Chief Engineering Officer, Mark, to ensure we communicate the product's safety benefits and alignment with building codes and standards.
There is no divisional breakout of our budget at this time. You'll work with the CEO to establish specific campaigns and their associated budgets.
There are no direct staff management responsibilities at this time. However, if we contract with outside firms, you'd be expected to manage those contracts and teams.
Competitive salary of $110,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience.
We're a remote-first team that also values meeting in person. We have budgeted for regular travel to invest time together as a team. Throughout the year, there will be events and conferences that will make sense for us to attend, and well expect occasional travel for this role.
It's very important to us that we find the right person for this role and that you, as a candidate, get to know us well enough to make an informed decision should we reach the offer stage.
