I’m looking for someone with experience growing media and education companies (aka. you’ve done this before and you’ve got “receipts”). You can see what's working, multiply it, and build the systems so we stop leaving growth on the table.

The Opportunity

Katelyn Bourgoin has spent years building one of the most trusted voices in marketing. 300K+ followers. 63K newsletter subscribers. Products that consistently sell. A brand people actually care about.

But here's the thing: All that content is being underutilized. Every post could be repurposed 5 ways. Every newsletter could drive 2x more buyers. Every product launch could convert better.

The opportunity isn't to build from scratch. It's to unlock the potential that's already there.

We're hiring our first full-time Head of Content & Growth to do exactly that - someone who can see what's working, multiply it, and build the systems so we stop leaving growth on the table.

You won't need to convince anyone to invest in content. You won't need to beg for budget. You just need to execute on the opportunity that's sitting right in front of us.

You'll have:

  • A proven audience that already knows and trusts the brand
  • Products that convert (we're profitable, not hoping to figure out monetization)
  • Real autonomy - Direct access to the CEO, authority to test ideas, budget to experiment
  • Clean slate - You get to help us build the systems and growth engine to take us to our next stage of growth. 

The trade-off? This is a lean but mighty team. You'll wear multiple hats and need to be comfortable with ambiguity. Some days you're designing strategy, other days you're writing social posts or in the weeds troubleshooting. 

If you want to:

  • Own growth strategy from day one (not just execute someone else's plan)
  • Work directly with a founder who actually creates great content
  • See immediate impact from your work (no 6-month approval cycles)
  • Build something from the ground up and get rewarded when it works

What Success Looks Like in Year One

Primary Focus (60% of your time): Grow Subscribers

Goal: Take the newsletter from 63K to 120K+ subscribers in <12 months

What that means:

  • Design and execute content-led growth strategy across LinkedIn, X, Threads, Substack…anywhere our audience is that we aren’t reaching. 
  • Build AI-powered content repurposing systems so Katelyn's cornerstone content reaches more people
  • Test new subscriber acquisition channels (organic focus first, paid when unit economics work)
  • Optimize social media → email conversion rates
  • Manage our part-time writer to maintain newsletter quality while you focus on growth

You'll be measured on:

  • Net new subscribers per month
  • Cost per subscriber (once paid channels are added)
  • Social → email conversion rates

Secondary Focus (30% of your time): Optimize Revenue

Goal: Increase revenue from existing products 

What that means:

  • Audit and improve monthly flash sale campaigns
  • Optimize and build new email sequences to increase conversions
  • Test upsell strategies and cart optimizations
  • Increase customer lifetime value

You'll be measured on:

  • Monthly product revenue
  • Email-to-purchase conversion rates
  • Customer LTV

Ongoing (10% of your time): Build Systems & Manage Team

Goal: Create leverage so we're building a high-growth company 

What that means:

  • Oversee our small team of contractors 
  • Build repeatable systems and SOPs for content production
  • Identify what to automate, delegate, or keep with Katelyn
  • Hire freelancers and/or agencies as needed (you'll have budget and approval)

About You

You've Done the Work:

  • 4+ years in content marketing, growth marketing, media, or related roles
  • Proven growth track record: You've grown a newsletter, personal brand, or digital product and can show you’ve done the work 
  • Content nerd: You can write high-converting copy for social, ads, and emails yourself (with or without AI)
  • Team management experience: You've hired, directed, and gotten results from contractors/freelancers
  • AI fluency: You've actually built systems with Claude, ChatGPT, automation tools (not just used them casually)
  • Bonus: Experience with Kit and/or Canva and a love for good design

You Have Startup DNA:

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Default to "figure it out" not "that's not my job"
  • Can think strategically but aren't afraid to execute (write emails, troubleshoot tech, optimize campaigns)
  • Have worked in small, founder-led teams before (not just corporate or agency)

You Understand This Business:

  • Experience in info products, newsletters, courses, or productized services (NOT just B2B SaaS or e-commerce)
  • Know the difference between vanity metrics and revenue
  • Have sold things via email and understand conversion psychology
  • Ideally: You're already familiar with Katelyn's work or active in the marketing/creator space

Compensation & Benefits 

Location: Remote anywhere in the USA, Canada, or Europe (Canada preferred)
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $110,000 CAD + performance bonuses

About our hiring process:
