The Opportunity

We’re hiring our first in-house marketing lead and looking for a creative-meets-analytical team member who can help to build our marketing strategy, drive measurable growth, and execute on bringing our story to life across every customer touchpoint. You’ll work closely with joni’s CEO (who’s owned marketing to-date) and take strategic ownership over all things marketing including content, SEO, marketing campaigns and press releases and play a key role in shaping joni’s next chapter of growth.

  • Are as comfortable building strategy as you are executing—this role is a blend of both but execution is key here.

What You’ll Own

  • Brand & Content Strategy: Shape and evolve our storytelling across channels.
  • Social Media Management: Plan and execute content across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Test, measure, optimize.
  • Email & Lifecycle Marketing: Work closley with our content writer to manage the marketing calendar, flows, and campaigns in Klaviyo.
  • Influencer & Partnership Marketing: Identify, pitch, and manage aligned brand partnerships, content creators, and affiliates.
  • Digital Growth: Track KPIs, optimize campaigns (paid and organic), and manage budget with a performance mindset.
  • Campaigns, PR & Launches: Lead GTM planning for new product launches, promotions, and brand moments.
  • Community Engagement: Build our digital community, listen to our customers, and bring their voices forward.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, specifically in DTC, consumer goods, or purpose-driven brands
  • Experience owning or managing social media, email marketing, and digital content
  • A strong growth mindset and figureoutability—comfortable using analytics to drive KPIs forward
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with attention to tone, clarity, and brand alignment
  • Familiarity with tools like Klaviyo, Shopify, Canva, Meta Ads Manager, Later, Google Analytics, Slack
  • Experience building influencer or affiliate partnerships at scale
  • Creative problem-solving and self-direction—you always get things done!

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working in a remote environment in start-up or early-stage brands
  • Video content skills (especially TikTok or Reels)
  • Experience with fast growing and scaling brands ($5MM+)

3. Third Interview: You’ll meet with Jayesh, joni Chief Innovation Officer, for a 30 minute meeting to talk about your preferences for growing marketing in a small agile team. Come prepared to share your ideas and your approach to work!
