Fair Future is seeking a Grant Writer on a contractual basis to join our team!
About Us:
Fair Future is a strategic consulting firm dedicated to collaborating with mission-based organizations to provide strategic planning, grant writing, fundraising, and backbone administrative services. We partner with clients to build equitable systems and guide organizational leaders through strategic implementation processes, with a particular emphasis on supporting Black-led organizations. Our team brings over 15 years of combined experience implementing privately and federally funded projects across the United States.

The Role:
Fair Future is seeking a Grant Writer on a contractual basis to join our team! The contractor will develop compelling, well-researched, equity-centered narratives that help secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Working closely with Fair Future’s internal team, this role involves translating programmatic information, data, and community impact stories into clear and persuasive proposals that align with funder priorities.

Ideal Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of grant writing or related narrative development experience for nonprofit or philanthropic organizations
- Demonstrated success contributing to competitive proposals
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with attention to tone and clarity
- Ability to work independently, maintain consistent communication, and manage multiple deadlines
- Familiarity with community-based organizations and equity-centered frameworks
- Strong organizational skills; proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project management platforms preferred
