SparkLoop is the secret weapon behind how the world's best newsletters grow and monetize. We power recommendations, offers, signup flows and audience-growth tools for thousands of top creators and media brands β from Tim Ferriss to The Hustle.
We've made it this far based on an awesome product, excellent sales team, and word of mouth (thanks to our users who love us). But as a small, bootstrapped team, we've never invested into marketing.
Your job is to change that.
You'll be joining us as our first, generalist marketer to own marketing across our entire funnel. This isn't a managerial role: You make things, you ship them, you report on what's (not) working and you own the process.
In this role you'll report to our cofounder, Louis, and work closely together with him on a steep learning and responsibility curve.
We're open to hiring full-time or part-time for this role, with flexibility on how that develops over time. The compensation range reflects this.
Our marketing site.Β You'll ship changes to sparkloop.app yourself, using Claude Code
Product launches.Β We ship weekly, and every launch is yours end to end: customer emails, hype videos, social rollouts, LinkedIn posts, in-app announcements. You own the whole motion, from the teaser to the retro.
Case studies.Β Our best customers are doing things with SparkLoop that no other platform can do β 8-figure newsletter businesses, monetization and growth stories worth telling. You'll turn them into the most useful assets that power our GTMΒ engine.
Paid acquisition experiments.Β We've barely touched paid. You'll run small, fast, controlled experiments yourself or with partner agencies.
Lifecycle marketing.Β When a new publisher signs up to use SparkLoop, you'll help guide them to get the most value out of our platform
This role can stay generalist or β as you prove out the ROI β you can move to own a niche responsibility. For example:
Our affiliate program.Β Newsletter operators trust other operators more than they trust any ad we could run. A real affiliate program turns our happiest customers into our best-converting acquisition channel β and right now it's under-built. This could become one of the highest-ROI things we do.
Strategic partnerships.Β Our customers already live inside other tools, courses, and communities. Co-marketing with the ESPs, creators, and platforms they trust puts SparkLoop in front of perfectly qualified audiences at near-zero CAC. The relationships compound; every deal makes the next one easier.
A content engine.Β We understand newsletter growth and monetization better than almost anyone, and we publish a fraction of what we know. A consistent content motion builds organic, durable demand that paid never will β and it makes every other channel work harder.
Community.Β Newsletter operators want a home base. Owning that conversation would give us distribution, product feedback, and loyalty competitors can't buy.
You (probably) won't do all of these. You'll find the one(s) that matters most, prove it, and run. Or maybe something else entirely.
At SparkLoop, we're a calm, profitable tech company. We know work is only one part of your life. And we expect you to fit it in around your family and life, not the other way around.
But that doesn't mean we aren't ambitious.
In five years, our small team of 14 has built the worldβs most effective newsletter growth and monetization platform. Used by thousands of top newsletters and media brands β from Morning Brew to household names like James Clear and Tim Ferriss.Β
And we have big plans for the next five years.
You'll be working with awesome people, on your own schedule, delivering a product with huge potential that people genuinely love.
