We're hiring at CryptoSlate: Prop Trading Comparison Writer — freelance.
We're building out CryptoSlate's coverage of prop firms and funded trading — honest reviews and comparisons for traders deciding where to get funded.
This is a hands-on writing role for someone who has actually traded: prop-firm reviews, comparisons, and guides that only work if you understand drawdown rules, payout splits, and how funded accounts operate. AI-first workflows, but accuracy is non-negotiable.
This role is a strong fit for someone with real trading experience who can write clearly and with authority — not a generalist writing about trading from the outside.

The role
CryptoSlate is one of the most established names in crypto media and data, combining real-time news, market data, and a growing portfolio of review and comparison products.
We are launching a comparison category for prop-trading and funded-account firms: independent reviews, head-to-head comparisons, and buyer guides. It is a your-money niche full of hype and thin content, so accuracy and genuine expertise are what make the work matter.
We are looking for a writer who has actually traded to produce the content for this category: firm reviews, comparisons, and deal pages that readers rely on before committing money.
This role is for someone who already understands funded trading, not someone looking to learn it from scratch. You should be comfortable explaining challenge rules, drawdown, payouts, and fees clearly and accurately, and writing to a consistent standard at a steady pace.
You will work to a clear brief, a house style guide, and a disclosed ratings methodology, with a credentialed expert fact-checking the reviews for accuracy.
You should have:
You are trading-literate, SEO-aware, and detail-oriented. You can distinguish a real product feature from a marketing claim, and you know that phrases such as “instant payouts,” “no rules,” or “guaranteed funding” mean little unless a review explains what actually happens, what it costs, and what the trader risks.
You write from experience, not theory, and would rather flag an unverified number than publish it.
The biggest thing we offer is not a list of perks: it is that you will get better here. We train constantly, review each other’s work, and grow as a team rather than in silos. Come here to be materially better at what you do a year from now than you are today.
Our culture is simple: work hard, play hard. We push and hold a high bar when it counts, and we genuinely enjoy the work and each other the rest of the time.
These are the values we actually run on:
How hiring works

3
Complete a short paid 900-word firm review using real data, our brief, and the house style guide.
4
Meet the people you would work with and learn how we collaborate, review work, and maintain editorial standards.
5
If both sides see a fit, we will commission live work and align on scope, timing, and next steps.
