Freelance Writer

After a year on mat leave, I'm returning to SJC on Monday as Executive Editor of Branded & Custom Content, and I'm building out my freelance writer roster in order to hit the ground running.
Our titles include Toronto Life, Canadian Business, Maclean's, Chatelaine, Châtelaine, Hello Canada, Fashion, Today's Parent and some custom publications. The work is branded editorial: sponsored features, service pieces, how-to content. The best writers on my roster know how to meet a brief, hit a deadline and come back for more.
I'm looking for generalist writers with solid branded content experience, as well as specialists in finance, health or lifestyle. I'm especially keen to hear from writers of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and I'm prioritizing Canadian voices.
Freelance only, with no guarantees on volume, but strong collaborators tend to stay busy.
