Freelance Travel Writer

🛥️ We’re hiring freelance travel writers at Yacht!

The sister site of Beach.com- Yacht.com is building the go-to destination for yacht travel and coastal lifestyle content, and we’re looking for travel writers to join us!

We’re looking for writers who can contribute 2–3 articles per month (around 1,500 words), including destination guides and listicles tailored to yacht travelers.

Priority destinations:
-Caribbean (St. Lucia, the BVIs, Grenada, etc)
-Mediterranean (Greece, Italy, Croatia, Mallorca, Ibiza, etc)

📍Writers can be based anywhere. (Yacht experience is a plus, but not required.)

Know a great coastal town or hidden port? We're seeking writers with firsthand insight into yachting hotspots, local tips, and on-shore experiences.

We’re especially interested in:

• Lesser-known Mediterranean or Caribbean ports worth sailing into
• Luxury marina destinations with standout restaurants, spas, or shopping
• European coastal escapes beyond the usual suspects (think Corsica, the Aeolian Islands, Menorca)
• Scenic sailing routes in Croatia, Greece, Turkey, or the South Pacific

Itineraries

Help our readers plan their next voyage with detailed travel itineraries and weekend charter suggestions. 

Example Pitches:

• “7-Day Sailing Itinerary Through the Greek Islands”
• “Luxury Long Weekend by Yacht in the French Riviera”

Best-Of Lists

We love high-quality, SEO-friendly listicles with practical value.

We’re especially interested in:

• “Best Charter Destinations for First-Time Sailors”
• “Top Luxury Marinas in the Mediterranean”
• “Best Coastal Towns in Europe for Yacht Travelers”

Rates

• $250 for 1,500-word articles using stock images only.
• $300 for 1,500-word articles including at least 3 high-quality, landscape-oriented personal photos.
