Who we are

Impactic is an award-winning social enterprise reimagining corporate volunteering. We run Impactathons — one-day, skills-based volunteering events where corporate teams use their professional expertise to solve real challenges for charities.

Founded in 2023 by Molly Bevan (Forbes 30 Under 30), Impactic has already engaged almost 1,000 volunteers, with partners spanning leading corporates (e.g. Microsoft), charities (e.g. British Red Cross) and universities (e.g. King's College London).

Impactic creates lasting, meaningful impact for all:

• Charities: we bridge charity skills shortages with high-quality, pro-bono support, enabling them to overcome challenges and amplify their impact
• Corporates: we transform corporate volunteering to boost employee engagement, skills development and CSR/ESG outcomes
• Employees (volunteers): we empower professionals to use their skills for good, aligning their expertise (e.g. strategy, data, finance, marketing) with causes they care about

We're a small but mighty team with big ambitions, and we're growing.

The role

We're looking for a Systems & AI freelancer to help us work smarter and scale effectively — reviewing our current processes and systems to identify opportunities to save time and improve outputs.

You'll work directly with Molly, Impactic's founder: no layers of approval, fast decisions, and real ownership over what you build. It's flexible, values-led work, backed by household name partners, great for your own portfolio. If it's working, there's real room to grow the scope together.

Scope

• Process mapping: map out how Impactic actually runs across our different tools, to spot bottlenecks, manual work and automation opportunities
• Building improvements: design and implement fixes using tools like Notion, Zapier, Claude and others
• Airtable audit: review, fix and improve our core programme management tool

What we're looking for

Must have:

• Strong Airtable skills: automations, interfaces, relational data structure
• Demonstrable AI tool integration experience (Claude): you don't just "use" AI, you build with it (e.g. agents, websites)
• Workflow automation no-code tool experience: e.g. Zapier
• Systems-thinking mindset: you spot inefficiencies and know how to translate founder-brain processes into structure
• Interest in social impact: you want to make the world a better place

Nice to have:

• Founder/startup experience: you've worked to support a small team before
• Sector network: existing relationships in the purpose sector or corporate CSR space

Practicalities

• Type: Freelance, flexible hours
• Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetups in London (we're a small team and enjoy working together in person when it makes sense, but this isn't a requirement)
• Number of days per month: TBC (likely around 6-8 days to start, dropping to 2-3 ongoing once base is stable)
• Start date: Flexible (asap)
