Freelance Sports Writer

I'm looking for 2-3 freelance sports writers based in the UK (or a similar time zone) with experience covering football, F1, combat sports (UFC, boxing), and/or the NFL, NBA, and MLB.

You should have experience covering sports news, rumours, reactions, and ongoing events quickly and accurately, and be used to packaging these stories for audiences who will generally discover them on social media or similar algorithm-based platforms.

This will begin as a short-term freelance experiment over 1-2 months, with the aim of expanding should it prove successful. I'm happy to discuss hourly, shift-based, or per-article freelance rates with the right candidates, but please keep in mind that this is a new venture. Our success will be measured on our ability to publish efficiently and reach new audiences quickly. If you've worked in a role where you've published numerous sports news articles per day/shift with clear targets and editorial standards, I'd love to speak with you.
