Job Title:  Freelance Medical Writer

Overview: Ambermed is expanding and we are looking for experienced freelance Medical Writers to join our dynamic team.  We are looking for freelancers on an ad hoc basis and who are willing to become part of the Ambermed team and grow with us. The ideal candidates will have extensive writing experience and will be responsible for producing high-quality scientific and medical content for a variety of audiences, including regulatory bodies, healthcare professionals, and the public. They will work closely with subject matter experts, medical professionals, and internal teams to deliver scientifically accurate and clear communication across multiple formats, including regulatory documents, clinical study reports, medical publications, and marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare clear, accurate, and scientifically sound documents, including investigator brochures, clinical trial protocols, informed consent forms, IMPDs/INDs, clinical trial reports, lay language summaries, safety documents, scientific papers, and other medical communications.
• Ensure that documents are produced on time per agreed timelines, in accordance with the relevant SOPs, and meet clients’ requirements as well as quality standards set out by Ambermed.
• Participate in client meetings, including kick-off meetings and comments resolution meetings.
• Work cross-functionally with clinical, regulatory, and medical affairs teams to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of all written materials.
• Edit and proofread documents to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct literature reviews and data analysis to support the development of high-quality content and ensure that all materials are up to date with the latest scientific advancements and industry standards.
• Assist with creating company confidential information checklists and perform document redaction per CTIS requirements.

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry either employed or as a freelancer.

Skills:

• Ability to work in a team and provide support to more junior colleagues.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements, and medical terminology.
• Ability to translate complex scientific data into clear and accessible language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• High attention to detail and a meticulous approach to writing.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
