Yorktown News is the hometown newspaper of Yorktown, New York. It is delivered by mail to 7,000 homes and businesses. We recently launched a new and improved website to help inform our community with the latest local news.

I’m looking for freelancers with an interest in community journalism and hyperlocal news. Ideal candidates are based in Westchester with access to a car. Remote contributors should be able to log into live meetings—typically in the evenings—including town government and school board meetings.

I’m also looking to expand my network of feature and profile writers to focus on human-interest stories and uplifting voices—the unique people who make Yorktown go around.

This is a great opportunity to get bylines, build your portfolio, and help keep the community informed about the stories that matter most.
