We’re hiring freelance healthcare writers and editors for service line pages

This isn’t ghostwriting a doctor’s blog.
This is high-volume, strategic work for hospitals and health systems.

We’re looking for full-time freelancers to write and edit service line website content — pages about programs, services, conditions, and treatments — written for patients.

You must:
• Know how to write clear, empathetic healthcare content
• Be able to match a client’s voice and tone
• Understand search best practices and do keyword research
• Have weekday availability for interviews and deadlines
• Have a U.S. Social Security Number or EIN and work U.S. business hours

We train you on our process, support you with schedulers and project managers, and offer consistent work if it’s a good fit.

We are looking for experienced freelance healthcare editors to join our team. The ideal candidate is a full-time freelancer who is detail-oriented and experienced in editing healthcare content for patient and physician audiences.

Candidates should be able to:

  • Edit content for adherence to health literacy, web writing best practices, and client style guidelines.
  • Ensure copy is free of grammatical and factual errors.
  • Use keyword research, SEO tactics, and marketing techniques to make sure content matches the audience and intent.
  • Work on a range of products, including website copy, emails, blog articles, thought leadership articles, white papers, client strategy decks, governance documents, and print collateral.
  • Collaborate with writers to produce the best possible work for our clients.

Aha Media Group is a leading content strategy and content marketing consultancy with deep healthcare experience. We create content for academic medical centers, health systems, community hospitals, insurers, and healthcare technology and medical device companies.

This is not your ordinary freelance gig

As an editor at Aha Media Group, you are at the very heart of what we do — and we invest in you. Before you begin editing for us, you’ll go through a robust training program to learn our process and best practices. You’ll also be invited to company-wide webinars on SEO and other relevant topics a few times a year. These training opportunities help our editors stay current and hone their craft.

You’ll also have the support of Aha Media account executives and project coordinators as you work with our talented writers to produce custom content for leading health systems and healthcare companies.

Edit for us

As a healthy, growing company, we’re always looking for new talent. To apply, you must be a full-time freelancer with a U.S. social security or tax ID number, be available during standard business hours, and be willing to commit to working at least 10 hours/week on Aha Media Group projects.
