I'm hiring an experienced freelance writer to help us create high-quality content for healthcare and health technology audiences.

We are looking for someone who understands B2B healthcare technology and can translate complex operational and technical topics into clear, credible, useful content for business and technology leaders.

This is an ongoing contract opportunity for a writer who can work from strategic briefs, conduct thoughtful research, synthesize subject-matter expertise, and produce polished content with relatively light editing.

Documo is seeking an experienced freelance writer to help us create high-quality content for healthcare and health technology audiences.

What You'll Work On

Assignments may include:

• SEO-focused website content
• Product and solution content
• Customer stories and case studies
• Research-based content
• Comparison and educational content
• Content for healthcare and healthtech audiences

Topics will generally fall within healthcare technology, healthcare operations, workflow automation, AI, interoperability, document processing, and SaaS/API technology.

What You'll Do

You will work from briefs developed by Documo's marketing team that may include target audience, topic, key messages, research, source material, SEO considerations, product context, and subject-matter expert input. Responsibilities include:

• Researching healthcare technology and operational topics
• Developing strong first drafts from approved briefs
• Synthesizing multiple sources into coherent, original content
• Translating technical concepts into clear business language
• Incorporating proprietary research, expert perspectives, and customer insights
• Structuring content for readability and search discoverability
• Fact-checking claims and documenting credible sources
• Interviewing internal subject-matter experts when appropriate
• Incorporating consolidated editorial feedback

What We're Looking For

Strong candidates will have:

• Excellent B2B writing and storytelling skills
• Demonstrated experience writing about healthcare technology or healthcare operations
• Experience writing for executive, operational, IT, product, or technical audiences
• Strong research and fact-checking skills
• Experience with SEO-informed content
• The ability to understand complex products and markets quickly
• The ability to work within an established brand voice and point of view
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Comfort working independently from a detailed brief

Experience in one or more of the following areas is especially relevant:

• Healthcare IT
• Healthtech
• Healthcare SaaS
• Workflow automation
• AI and automation
• EHRs and interoperability
• Revenue cycle, referral admin, or healthcare administration
• APIs and embedded technology

Familiarity with how content is increasingly discovered through AI-powered search and answer engines is a plus.

What We're Not Looking For

This is not a high-volume commodity content assignment. We are looking for a writer who can understand the subject matter, exercise judgment, and create content that healthcare professionals will find credible and useful. Quality, accuracy, and subject-matter fluency are more important to us than producing the maximum number of articles.

Engagement

This is an ongoing freelance/contract engagement. Initial workload will likely be approximately 6–10 assignments per month, depending on length and complexity. We are interested in developing a long-term relationship with a writer who can become increasingly familiar with our company, customers, products, market, and editorial standards.
