We are looking for experienced freelance healthcare writers to support our hospital clients with service line website content. Ideal candidates are full-time freelancers with experience writing program, service, condition, and treatment content for patient audiences.

Candidates must be able to:

• Write clear website copy that employs best practices for health literacy and web writing and avoids jargon.
• Capture a client’s unique voice and tone while writing empathetically for patients.
• Conduct keyword research and use SEO and marketing techniques to create content that converts audiences.
• Interview stakeholders and conduct research to create custom content that highlights key differentiators.
• Commit to being available at least 10 hours a week for writing and stakeholder interviews.

Aha Media Group is a leading content strategy and content marketing consultancy with deep healthcare experience. We create content for academic medical centers, health systems, community hospitals, and healthcare technology and medical device companies.

This is not your ordinary freelance gig

As a writer, you are at the very heart of what we do — and we invest in you. Before you write anything, you go through a robust training program to learn our process and best practices. You’ll also be invited to company-wide webinars on SEO and other relevant topics a few times a year. These training opportunities help our writers stay current and hone their craft.

You’ll also have the support of Aha Media account executives, project coordinators, and editors as you develop custom patient-facing content for leading health systems and healthcare companies.  In addition to writing about programs, services, conditions, and treatments, you will have opportunities to write for other audiences, such as physicians, and in other forms, such as emails, blog articles, social media posts, annual reports, and print collateral.

Write for us

As a healthy, growing company, we’re always looking for new talent. To apply, you must be a full-time freelancer with a U.S. social security or tax ID number, be available during standard U.S. business hours, and be willing to commit to work at least 10 hours/week on Aha Media Group projects.
