Freelance Graphic Designer at Augur Society

🎨 ✨ I’m looking for a freelance graphic designer to create lite brand guidelines for my nonprofit organization, the Augur Magazine Literary Society!

What is Augur Society?
– An organization that promotes Canadian & Indigenous Sci fi-Fantasy creators across intersections
– Two magazines: Augur Magazine, Canada’s SFWA pro-market, and Tales & Feathers Magazine, a pro slice of life fantasy market
– A literary festival, AugurCon, that’s one of the biggest SFF events in Canada
– A programming series, full up of workshops, panels, and other educational + networking opportunities for writers & artists in Canada
– A podcast, Murmurstations, that’s launching later this month
– Hopefully soon

The project would include:

🖌 Brand colours for our parent & child brands
🖌 Colour stories & guidelines for our art & illustrations
🖌 Typography guidelines (we use Lora and Lato, but how? when?)

Full disclosure: As a nonprofit arts organization, our budget is doesn’t stretch far—but it will be fair! We’re looking to make the most of a 5-to-10-hour engagement, and for our all-volunteer team to fill in as many gaps as we can so our designer can bring the biggest impact per hour.

What we offer is an enthusiastic, passionate (all-volunteer!) team that promises to be an amazing stakeholder (async review! looms! interviews w team members ready to go!)—and work that helps set the tone for the SFF arts space.
