Brand Marketing & Social Freelancer

Who we are

Impactic is an award-winning social enterprise reimagining corporate volunteering. We run Impactathons — one-day, skills-based volunteering events where corporate teams use their professional expertise to solve real challenges for charities.

Founded in 2023 by Molly Bevan (Forbes 30 Under 30), Impactic has already engaged almost 1,000 volunteers, with partners spanning leading corporates (e.g. Microsoft), charities (e.g. British Red Cross) and universities (e.g. King's College London).

Impactic creates lasting, meaningful impact for all:

  • Charities: we bridge charity skills shortages with high-quality, pro-bono support, enabling them to overcome challenges and amplify their impact
  • Corporates: we transform corporate volunteering to boost employee engagement, skills development and CSR/ESG outcomes
  • Employees (volunteers): we empower professionals to use their skills for good, aligning their expertise (e.g. strategy, data, finance, marketing) with causes they care about

We're a small but mighty team with big ambitions, and we're growing.

The role

We're looking for a Brand Marketing & Social freelancer to help us grow Impactic's presence and tell our story, leveraging Molly's personal brand and Impactic's channels.

The goal is to get more people excited about skills-based volunteering, driving inbound leads, and opening doors to speaking opportunities for Molly — ultimately enabling more charities to access the pro bono expertise they need.

You'll work directly with Molly, Impactic's founder: no layers of approval, fast decisions, and real ownership over what you build. It's flexible, values-led work, backed by household name partners, great for your own portfolio. If it's working, there's real room to grow the scope together.

Scope

Core:

  • LinkedIn (Molly's profile): founder-led, human, story-driven posts
  • LinkedIn (Impactic page): thought leadership, impact stories, sector commentary
  • Video content: turning raw Impactathon footage (interviews, b-roll) into usable content
  • Content strategy: shaping a quarterly content plan
  • Events content: supporting online and in-person events where relevant

Stretch:

  • Newsletter: set up and maintenance
  • Templates & systems: building reusable templates for proposals, impact reports, case studies and social content

What we're looking for

Must have:

  • Strong copywriting: you can write in someone else's voice and make it feel natural
  • LinkedIn fluency: you understand what lands and why
  • Competent video editing: e.g. comfortable using CapCut or similar
  • Proactive: you don't need hand-holding to get things done
  • Interest in social impact: you want to make the world a better place

Nice to have:

  • Content strategy experience: ideally with a B2B/founder-led portfolio
  • Newsletter experience: you've written and managed a newsletter before
  • Founder-facing work: you've supported a founder with their personal brand or voice directly
  • Brand page management: you've run a startup's organic social presence end-to-end
  • Sector network: existing relationships in the purpose sector or corporate CSR space

Practicalities

  • Type: Freelance, flexible hours
  • Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetups in London (we're a small team and enjoy working together in person when it makes sense, but this isn't a requirement)
  • Number of days per month: TBC (around 4-8 days to start)
  • Start date: Flexible (asap)

Application process

  • Application (Google Form)
  • Call (20-30 mins)
  • Paid trial task (if needed)
  • Decision & offer

We're reviewing applications on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged (ideally apply by 30th August). Please expect a fast-paced interview process.
