Freelance B2B Pharma Writer

Freelance writer/account director, pharma/biotech
$100/hr

ReadHealthy Communications, a marketing/PR firm serving pharma/biotech, seeks an experienced B2B writer/account director w/ 5+ years’ experience in pharma/biotech.
Not an entry-level position.

Freelance, approx. 5-10 hours per week w/ room to grow as we expand. We are looking for a writer who seeks a long-term relationship.

What you will do:
- B2B content development – Write content for biotech companies. Blogs, white papers, press releases, media bylines, thought leadership, fact sheets, investor decks, web copy.
- Strategy/planning – Develop content calendars, strategy docs, thought leadership platforms, message maps, ideating on content/PR campaigns, brainstorming new content for blogs, bylines, etc.
- Account mgmt – Lead weekly client calls, send meeting agendas beforehand, send meeting recaps, keep track of client needs, requested deliverables, deadlines, etc.
- Proactive thinking – Be a proactive lead on your accounts, thinking strategically, leading with confidence, suggesting content pieces/new ideas to meet clients’ needs.
- Science learning - Gain a deep understanding of our clients in biotech, med device, etc., learn their product, tech, science, value prop, tone, etc. to ensure content captures their “voice” in a way that is compelling to their target B2B audiences.

Who you are:
- BA in marketing, PR, journalism, business writing, etc. MA/MS preferred. Scientific degree a bonus.
- 5+ years’ pharma/biotech marketing, PR, and/or content development. Agency experience preferred.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements of writing for biotech industry.
- Deeply organized and detail oriented, able to juggle multiple projects/tasks for multiple clients simultaneously without missing deadlines.
- Autonomous, proactive, responsive. Comfortable leading client calls with confidence.
- Deadline driven.
