We're hiring for the desks that ask the hard questions.
At TechCabal, we don't just report on what's happening in African tech; we interrogate why it's happening and who is pulling the levers.
We are looking for two senior editorial heavyweights to join our team:
1. Editor (Analytical): This isn't a traditional copy-editing role. You are the gatekeeper of our rigor. You'll stress-test logic, audit data, and ensure every claim we publish is backed by cold, hard evidence.
2. Reporter (Enterprise & Policy): This beat is about power. You'll be covering the intersection of big business and regulation across the continent, moving past PR to find the real incentives in the boardroom.
We are also hiring for several other key roles across the organization.
If you are a high-level thinker who values accuracy over access, we want to hear from you.

Big Cabal Media tells the African stories that matter to Africans on the continent and to the world paying attention.
We build category-defining media brands powered by culture, data, technology, and bold storytelling. Across TechCabal and Zikoko, we create journalism and entertainment that travels, resonates, and shapes conversations.
TechCabal captures the business and human impact of technology in Africa, delivering reporting, intelligence, and experiences that help the world understand where innovation is taking the continent.
Zikoko documents youth culture in real time. Through text, video, memes, and original formats, it tells stories that feel familiar, urgent, funny, vulnerable, and distinctly African.
At BCM, we care about strong ideas, sharp execution, and building sustainable media businesses. We value people who think in systems, move with ownership, and are excited by ambitious work that reaches millions.
If you are talented, adaptable, and ready to do meaningful work in a collaborative environment, you are in the right place.
The Editor-in-Chief role at TechCabal carries both creative and institutional responsibility. It requires some who can define direction, protect editorial integrity, grow a product ecosystem, and guide a newsroom through complexity with clarity.
TechCabal is at an inflexion point, and if you get this role, you’ll be joining a publication with real momentum and real ambition. You’ll be building a publication that provides the definitive guide to how technology is transforming every sphere of life, from business to policy, and daily life.
We’re looking for someone who has a deep understanding of the technology ecosystem in Africa, and how it’s shaping our world today. We’re also looking for someone who can lead a team to succeed and do their best work.
If this is you, please answer the questions that follow. Paint as clear a picture as you can; anecdotes and opinions are totally welcome.
