- Iteration based on performance data alongside the creative strategist
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years writing DR copy for DTC eCommerce brands (physical product preferred)
- Portfolio with real examples, static ads, video scripts, landing pages, advertorials
- Strong grasp of conversion fundamentals: hooks, objection handling, CTAs, social proof
- **** Excellent written English with a Western consumer sensibility (non-negotiable)
- Familiarity with Meta Ad Library, Foreplay, AI tools for research and drafting (plus)
- 2β4 hours overlap with Australian Eastern Time (AEST)

We're hiring on behalf of a fast-scaling, single-product DTC brand in the travel comfort space. Launched 18 months ago in Australia, the brand has crossed 8 figures in revenue and is growing aggressively across AU, the US, UK, and Europe.
Growth is powered by deep research, storytelling, aggressive testing, and messaging that speaks directly to the emotional and physical pain points of their customers.
About the Role
We're looking for a results-obsessed mid-level Direct Response Copywriter to take ownership of ads and funnels. This includes writing high-converting ad scripts, ad copy, landing pages, and product pages that convert.
This is a full-time role with a clear growth path, Copy Chief and creative leadership are on the horizon for the right person.
Why This Role Matters
Great creative needs great copy. As the brand scales its paid media and builds out new landing pages and product pages, the quality of copy directly impacts conversion rates and customer acquisition costs. This person ensures the words keep pace with the creative ambition.
What You'll Achieve
1. Ad Copy & Creative Messaging β ~40% of your time
- Write short-form video ad scripts and UGC scripts
- Write direct response ad copy, headlines, and long-form copy
- Produce scroll-stopping hooks and headlines
- Create compelling angles and ad concepts rooted in customer psychology

Refine and optimize existing copy based on data, feedback, and performance metrics
2. Research & Ideation β ~25% of your time

Deep-dive into customer reviews, forums, competitors, and objections
- Identify the product's core problem, mechanism, and differentiator

Generate and test multiple angles per product to find scalable winners
3. Strategy & Innovation β ~20% of your time
- Use AI tools to speed up research and drafting without sacrificing quality
- Proactively flag opportunities to improve existing ads and support iteration based on performance data
- Stay current with direct response trends and creative formats
4. Systems, Efficiency & Collaboration β ~15% of your time
