Pay Range: The target annual pay range for this position is $93,456 - $106,200. The full annual pay range is $84,960 - $127,440.
- Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.
Job Overview:
This position collaborates with creative, product, marketing, and compliance teams to assess project needs and develop clear and concise messaging that drives results, engagement, and builds external brand awareness. Partners with the Internal Communications teams to drive brand consistency across all company communications. Maintains and delivers on the corporate brand voice in a consistent manner.
What You’ll Do:
- Creates creative, compelling, and consistent themes, messaging, and branding in all communication touch points, including print advertising, video, emails, letters, website content, digital advertising, social media, and more.
- Supports organizational external messaging and campaign strategy with editorial oversight and high-quality written content.
- Sources and develops content for campaigns.
- Focuses on engine and conversion-optimized copywriting for websites, landing pages, and banners.
- Creates SEO- and AIO-optimized blog topics and blog articles that drives members to take action and attracts perspective new members.
- Performs background research and keyword research as needed.
- Conducts market and customer research to understand the target audience and create relevant and engaging copy.
- Organizes the editorial process across external publishing areas. Defines content types/styles/channels/use case for the campaign: e.g., web and blog content; email announcements; digital ads; emails/newsletters; calls-to-action (CTA); and other.
- Develops strategies for the lifecycle of content. Assesses the performance of content by analyzing metrics, user impressions, and keyword searches.
- Creates content to retain customers, build trust, and establish long-term business relationships.
- Supports the copywriting workflows across channels, approves proofs, schedules, copywrites, and edits content.
- Ensures that messages are grammatically correct and error-free, have an appropriate tone and subject matter, and are aligned with credit union priorities and themes.
- Acts as primary point of contact for freelance copywriters, including assigning, reviewing, approving, and managing their work.
- Manages proofreading, mechanical, and style oversight for content contributors. Edits drafts, assigns draft production to subject matter experts, and adapts content for audience, comprehension, length, and tone.
- Provides training and support to team members on marketing copywriting best practices and tools.
- Simplifies and clarifies descriptions of complex strategic initiatives, business influences, and organizational goals.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements for content plans. Understands the priorities of business lines and prioritizes competing projects.
- Participates as marketing subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams.
- Consults with cross-functional business units and multiple levels of the organization with empathy and curiosity to understand drivers, barriers, and intended outcomes.
- Collaborates with Internal Communications to drive brand consistency across all company communications. Maintains a consistent message, style, and cadence for various types of communication reliably.
- Develops and maintains copywriting guidelines in coordination with other marketing team members.
- Manages assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring all appropriate reviews are completed and approved collateral is launched and removed as expected.
- Brainstorms and openly shares ideas with designers, content strategists, and others.
- All other duties as assigned.
When You'll Be Working: Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years related experience in digital content development, digital marketing, and copywriting.

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month following date of hire. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
