Overview
As a contract SEO Analyst on the Grit team, you will work closely with the account team, Director of SEO, and other associates to drive SEO strategy, provide content SEO expertise, and manage reporting / analytics across SEO partnerships. Youβll be hands-on updating meta titles, digging into performance data, or building internal links while also driving strategy discussions and supporting performance goals. The SEO Analyst role will not be client facing but may support the Account Manager with client communications, prepping for weekly meetings, building decks to present work and answering questions from clients. Our team is fast paced and highly collaborative, and this individual will work with clients across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and has a competitive spirit to win in the SERPs.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement on-site content optimizations (best practice for E-A-T, internal linking, titles, content editing etc.)
- Perform basic technical optimizations such as implementing schema, evaluating page speed, updating sitemaps, etc. and ensure they meet all Google guidelines
- Recommend changes to enhance website architecture, reduce duplicate content, create internal links or fix broken links, and other site-wide factors to improve SEO performance
- Audit client websites and competitor landscape to ensure SEO best practices are being met both on and off-page including link building and outreach
- Conducting keyword research and generating new keyword ideas and work closely with copywriting team to implement content based recommendations
- Manage weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on performance
- Demonstrate proficiency in deriving insights and next steps from marketing data
- Support SEO strategy across client partners and help drive company-wide SEO results
- Enhance local SEO presence through management and optimization of business profile listings
- Maintain a professional curiosity towards new SEO marketing trends and technologies
We Are Looking Forβ¦
- 10-15 hours/week of availability
- 2-4 years experience in SEO
- Expert proficiency in Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Passionate about research and data analysis β evident in a high-level of Microsoft Excel capabilities
- Proficiency with SEO tools, such as aHrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
- Additional consideration given for tech SEO experience
- Must be able to work to deadlines and manage time efficiently
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a default mindset to take initiative
- High energy team player
- Competitive personality with a drive to win
Additional Information
Compensation
$50-75/hour, based on experience, with a guaranteed number of hours per week.
Contract Structure
The contractor will provide 2 one (1) hour blocks of consistent availability during the week and the balance of the time will be flexible at the contractorβs discretion. Assignments will be provided through Asana tasks and communication through Slack is preferred.
