Contract Copywriter – X4 2026

Location: Remote / Flexible
Contract Term: October 2025 – March 2026
Hours: Oct–Dec (10–20 hours/week), Jan–Mar (15–30 hours/week)
Reports to: Events Team and Content Team


Overview

The X4 Contract Copywriter will support the development of clear, compelling, and on-brand copy across a wide range of event touchpoints. This role plays a critical part in shaping the attendee experience, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging, and supporting the creative vision for X4 2026, Qualtrics’ flagship global event.

The ideal candidate is a fast, flexible, and engaging writer with experience in event or experiential marketing, comfortable working across digital, print, and environmental formats.


Key Responsibilities

1. Onsite Signage & Attendee Experience (High Volume)

  • Write copy for wayfinding, 3D/environmental, and miscellaneous onsite signage (e.g., lollipops, table signs, directional signs) for the event and the party (~300 items).
  • Partner with Qualtrics content team for Qualtrics activations and big brand moments across the event footprint (~150 total items).

2. Stages, Screens & Presentation Elements

  • Develop intro/outro slide copy for slides/ads that cycle prior and after the sessions and keynote (~10–40 items).
  • Write copy for speaker promo assets and slide templates used by presenters.

3. Merchandise & Swag

  • Write playful, concise copy for employee T-shirts (~4 assets) and swag items (~50 assets) for both staff and attendees.

4. Promotional & Enablement Materials

  • Partner with the events and content teams to craft copy for enablement materials (~100 assets), ensuring alignment with Qualtrics’ brand voice and campaign messaging.
  • Collaborate with the promotional copywriting team on registration paths, customer & exec meeting tools, and mobile app assets, as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting, preferably in event marketing, experiential, or brand environments.
  • Strong ability to adapt tone and style for different formats — from high-energy brand activations to clean wayfinding language.
  • Proven experience managing large volumes of copy with accuracy and speed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work within brand guidelines.
  • Comfortable working in Google Docs/Sheets and collaborating with cross-functional creative and events teams.
  • Able to meet deadlines consistently, with flexibility during peak production months (Feb–Mar).

Timeline & Workflow

Work will be assigned via content trackers, with clear deadlines, review cycles, and weekly sprints. The copywriter will collaborate closely with events, content, creative, field, campaign teams, and relevant stakeholders for approval.
