Content Writer

Babynames.com is looking for a skilled writer to join our content team! You will create engaging, well-formatted articles about names and naming, 1–2 articles per week, both informational and list-based posts.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging articles about names, naming trends, and related topics as assigned by editor
• Create and format articles directly in WordPress
• Create simple images in Canva to accompany posts
• Collaborate with the Content Manager via Slack for assignments, feedback, and revisions
• Ensure content is accurate, well-structured, and consistent with our site’s style

Requirements

• Proven writing experience - blogging, journalism, content marketing, or similar
• Proficiency in WordPress, including adding media and basic formatting
  Image creation skills in Canva – account to be provided
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly in a remote setting
• Reliable internet connection and access to Slack
• Able to communicate 9am-5pm in US time zone
